Raging Forest Fire Burns Near Halifax, NS

I don't know how, but I still remember this. The fire stretched quite far. It came all the way down by my current school. I wasn't in this school yet, but it had to be closed for a couple days, and this school is only a 15 minute drive away from my house, so I was pretty close to it. I hope nothing like this happens again.

I was At school and I was not really paying attention to the teacher so I looked out the window and saw this HUGE cloud of smoke and I yelled and everyone came to look then we all went outside to watch  (Elizabeth Sutherland school)

that fire was scary , i live in halifax , but the fire was too far away to burn our house , i noticed it when i was coming home from school me and my friend saw smoke , and at night it lit up the whole city .

i live like..less then 5 mins away.

almost got evacuated. my friend lived on Aarons way ..her house is gone ..

and i was pretty scared..at school everyone was yelling "OMG FIRE ARCOSS THE LAKE!!" ..n that was around 3 =/

I was at school (cunard) playing diskis,and fuckign Every one was yelling "FIRE!" from the computer lab and I turned around and all there was was a HUGE thing of smoke

everyone was talking about this, from my neighborhood after school i saw this huge cloud of smoke...

so many people lost there homes :(

finally good news! he fireis almost outnews came directly from my aunt who lives in herring cove and she got evcuated and she was allowed back today and she only see's a puff of smoke here and there

i can see the flames from sambro which is about 20 miles from the fire and tonight i seen the fire reaching up over the tree line from my community

I never said it wasn't tragic or horrible or threatening hundreds of homes. I said it isn't threatening a city of 400,000 and the guy was being alarmist and making it sound worse than it was.

It might be moving away from the city but its in the suburbs....hundreds of homes and lives are at risk.
