no doubt gasquet has plenty of talent, and as a pure shotmaker, he certainly rivals federer. shot for shot, gasquet can hold his own against federer off the ground. but federer's edge is on serve, also his ability to change tempo, and most important, federer has a clear edge in movement over gasquet. all things considered equal, while i'd say gasquet is just as good a striker of the ball, in some respects better than federer, but he doesn't match up in a few key areas.
I don't think Gasquet will be the new Federer(what Federer has achieved in the last few seasons is really exceptionnal,especially in term of dominance of the tour)......but one thing i'm almost sure is that he'll win Wimbledon in the future.

all you say is very true but don't forget one thing: Gasquet is still only 21!
At 21 ,Federer was nowhere near as good in term of movement and in term of ability to change tempo as he is now.
Gasquet is still far from being mature ,especially physically(he still seems like a little boy sometimes)
