I used it and for a beta it works really good. No achievement list, though, but hey, it's a beta. What I think best of it is the possibility to consult AND purchase games while away from the computer, without having to navigate into the Steam Store with my phone's web browser. The "trigger download remotely" feature would be great, too, if you leave Steam running all the time

You know you all like steam Stfu. It's a great tool to game with. It's kind of like psn or Xbox live. Just don't buy the games unless there on sale. I got counter strike source and Garry's mod for $2.50 during the summer sale. Can't beat that with a retail copy!

@truebassB Steam isn't selling iOS games, it's still selling PC games, but it's making purchasing pc games much more available. Yeah I guess they are money stealers, but they steal your money in a very pleasant way, as in you get games for it...

Games being almost as expensive as retail isn't valve's fault either, the publishers are the ones that decide on the retail price of their game, so that if it's as expensive as retail, retailers actually stand a chance at selling their games.

@qwergg It's funny to talk about it isn't Valve's fault. When i wanted Portal 2 in almost all the well known retailers it was going for like 5-10e less,and the retail has costs like dvd,case,booklet,cover manufacturing,the individual transportation of these to the assembling factory,then to the retailers,then to you,but they manage assuming a couple of megs bandwidth a more expensive thing.

I love Valve and their GREAT games,but the Steam part stinks when it's to get your games from it.

@qwergg Also excluding the price,having all your games in a digital account is risky,you can get it hacked/banned,imagine guys with 2k$+ worth of games.

You're stopping owning the account thus the games even if are made by THIRD PARTY with different policy,while with Retail,if you get banned from a club,even if you can't activate it without an account,you have the right to crack the game and play it,you own the legal rights,any club has separated policy/agreement than the game's EULA.

I heard people getting banned for no known reason,hacked without anyone knowing their accounts,and i also heard people of moving to an area where Internet is either too expensive or too slow,leaving them with NO ability to get their games,thing wouldn't happen if they had the Retail.

@truebassB yeah, it was $50 on steam vs $60 on retail. $10 difference is HUGE. The boxing and shipping and all that other crap doesn't cost $20 a box. I'm guessing it would only cost about $7 per box. it's massed produced and shipped, don't forget.

Yeah, you can get hacked and banned, and if that's the case tough luck, it's the internet and if you get hacked it's probably your fault for being stupid. Even if you get hacked, what's stopping you from pirating your game you owned before on steam?

@qwergg At the moment is 22,49€ on Steam,24.49€ with Free shipping on Play com,and 26-27€ on other retailers shipped.

Shipping costs around 3€,don't forget that producing an actual product isn't only the cost of production,wherever it goes you have to pay at least 10 employees for touching it.

What's stopping me? I don't wan't to pirate something i own,thing wont happen with retail.

Also,Internet is luxury in some places,i don't wanna move out and lose the ability to download my games.

@PaulSimsDaBoss inconvenient to open web browser, then go to the website with such a long url. then you'll have to log into your account, and assuming you have steam guard on, which almost everyone does, you'll have to go to your email to acquire the code. do you really want to do that? especially after every time you need to wipe history and cache? also the web browser doesn't offer an effective steam community
