The complexity and order of the universe demonstrates an intelligence created it. A single cell is more complex than New York City, it was designed. Faith is based on evidence and you demonstrate that in your life everyday. You have faith that the pilot of your plane will safely take you to your destination. The odds that all of this could happen by chance aren’t even calculable!
I believe what you have is faith. Faith that given enough time ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Evolution cannot be demonstrated in a lab....its a "faith". Feelings do not make something true. I may feel like I can fly but when I jump off the cliff I will sincerely fall to my death. The bible says to NOT TRUST your feelings because the human heart can deceive. Many devout people of other religions believe because of pride, or tradition, or if they didn't believe it would break up the family they love, many reasons having nothing to do with truth. I am familiar with the "alien manipulation" theory. Have you ever studied the prophecies of Daniel concerning the world kingdoms? It was so accurate historians thought it was written after the events described. Later it was determined the book of Daniel was written BEFORE the events happened. Chance cannot create complex machines such as computer systems, or the space shuttle no matter how many times chance is applied. Likewise there are organic machines far more complex than these. In fact scientists study nature in order to create complex machines. There are elements of nature that are formed by mathematics, something chance cannot provide. The only logical conclusion is a higher intelligence. Call it God or something else if you must.

I haven't found evidence in other religions that their claims are true. For example, Mormons believe in the claims of the book of Mormon. The book of Mormon mentions cities, battles, coinage, plant life, animal life, continents and so forth in ancient America that cannot be found by secular anthropologists. If these existed there would be evidence of this in the ground. There isn't any. Why would I believe in something that isn't true?

There are plenty of web sites speaking of the prophetic, historical, archeological, scientific and other evidences that can be researched. Many people, more intelligent than me, have honestly studied the evidence and came to the same conclusions. God is not a liar, nor is He trying to deceive you. People who practice magic do to because it works. This is their evidence. They either say the power comes from within themselves or other entities they communicate with. Either way they see real results from what they do, otherwise they wouldn't perform magic. As far as killing wizards or witches that is something God, at that time, said to do in some cases, but not any more.

The 'where did the big bang come from' question has been answered. Look up the Big Bounce Theory and you'll see that our current universe is almost certainly recycled from a universe that came before it.

Actually I have no idea what started the big bang... No one does. But the fact that we don't know does not mean that we have to turn to the conclusion that a supreme being did it. At one point we thought that the world was flat, that it was impossible to fly, that we would never reach the moon, discover certain things, or realize others. And one day we will add the discovery of the universe to the list of proven things.

Hah! You obviously have no idea what the big bang theory really is. Nor do you have a good concept of the debate between infinity and cause and effect. If time is infinite and the universe has always existed, there does not need to be a first cause. Read some books on logic and reason, preferably philosophical books. Read Kant and then Nietzsche. The bible is a single book that didn't even get the number pi right. I can't trust a god who can't even do basic math ;)

This is just another Straw-man argument; rather, the Big Bang has never stated that something can come from nothing; although we have no confirmed answer yet for what happened in that instant, it seems that time and space both began at that time, which would make this the only instance where causation was unnecessary; alternatively, I have no qualms with history and causality going back in time forever, as I have no qualms of causality going forward in time.

Chance cannot create complex machines such as computer systems, or the space shuttle no matter how many times chance is applied. Likewise there are organic machines far more complex than these. In fact scientists study nature in order to create complex machines. There are elements of nature that are formed by mathematics, something chance cannot provide. The only logical conclusion is a higher intelligence. Call it God or something else if you must.

I haven't found evidence in other religions that their claims are true. For example, Mormons believe in the claims of the book of Mormon. The book of Mormon mentions cities, battles, coinage, plant life, animal life, continents and so forth in ancient America that cannot be found by secular anthropologists. If these existed there would be evidence of this in the ground. There isn't any. Why would I believe in something that isn't true?

Yes, two of every kind of animal, not every variety of animal. Two dogs only, Two cats only. Dinosaurs as babies are the size of dogs and cats so they would fit just fine. The flood was not mere water but earthquakes.. it split the earth along the fault lines that were not there before. It was not just rain. As far as 6,000 years old you can take dirt, place into a jar of water, shake it up and it will settle into layers.

Why do parents ask a child a question they already know the answer to? "Did you take that cookie?" The question is part of a conversation designed to help the child gain insight. The parent already knows the answer. It appears as if God changes His mind at times when in fact He already knows. Like any wise teacher, He is teaching His creation about Himself. "Changing his mind" is one way of doing that.

Actually I have no idea what started the big bang... No one does. But the fact that we don't know does not mean that we have to turn to the conclusion that a supreme being did it. At one point we thought that the world was flat, that it was impossible to fly, that we would never reach the moon, discover certain things, or realize others. And one day we will add the discovery of the universe to the list of proven things.
