John Choi is probably my favorite Ryu player because he plays an absolute basic textbook style Ryu with strong footsies - and shows it's all you need to win.

I don't understand. His Ryu style is exactly like mine and yet I can't win... maybe his timing is better. Regarding the Cammy player, I have the same problem too...

PS: My main is Ryu (50%), followed by Cammy (14%)

he's zoning, you're probably spamming fireballs. He's been playing SF for 15 years he's not the "average ryu guy"

No I don't think I spam fireballs like a noob. Anyhow I know it is been a week, but now I am looking at it again and his other videos, He thinks faster, react faster, and his execution/timing is better. I can't do that at my age anymore. Don't worry about it. It is just me... but my play style is very similar to him...

Regarding the cammy player... I kind of play like her too, but same problem: I am a slow thinker.

which part of john do u play like? if his reaction time is faster, thinks faster, execution is more efficient then he plays nothing like u. -- all ryus throw fireballs, have uppercuts and hurricane kicks. there's a lot of mindgames john is playing that u may not see so things turn out the way they turn out.

Yeah I agree about "his reaction is faster, thinks faster, execution is more efficient", but everything he does is exactly what I would have done only in this game.

Actually I think I know what the huge difference between him and me. While this game has nothing "surprising", I have a hard time to adapt to "unusual" situations and tend to forget what to do. He most likely has a deeper knowledge and know what to do in each situation.

No it didn't go under fireballs in SF2...the only game her spiral arrow went under fire balls was Capcom vs SNK 2.

kids, pay attention. this is the correct way to use ryu, not that random flowchart dragon punch bullshit which gets you killed more than 75% of the time.
