I used to go out with a real ‘horsey’ girl. At first I thought it was quite cute- I would watch her riding & jumping at weekend events, & the gear she wore (jodhpurs, crop etc) served as a good aphrodisiac.
However, things soon got a bit weird & I had to split up with her- more & more time was spent with her ‘other half’. Eventually she tried to persuade me to wear a horses-head mask (complete with reins & bit for my mouth) for lovemaking purposes. This freaked me out & I ran out the house.
My friend competes in small shows there! And my instructor competed in the Masters and the Battle of the Breeds with her paint stallion master! She has been in the news paper multiple times and rite now im leasing her ex eventer paint Peppy!
im so fucking fed up about people who hasn't got a single clue what their talking about telling us what we can and cannot do with our horses. i wish those people would keep to their own trails and not try to disturb others, those jealous idiots.
Haha pops I mention horses rant forced to do what they don't want to. There is a horse at my barn who doesn't like to jump so his owner doesnt force him to. So in truth u are the one who needs to grow up
MeaganA09 you have know idea what you are talking about. If you have a horse that was an eventer with hind end problems then either he was hurt at some point or was not taken very good care of! Or it my just be old age! Of course eventing is hard on their joints! It hard on our joints too! But as an eventer I do everything I can to make sure that my horses are not in pain and have a long and happy life. Which I think is or should be the main goal for anyone who jumps horses at any level!
is anyone else kind of annoyed at the people who are like, its cruel to the horses you're forcing them blah blah blah? do you seriously think that we could make horses do this if they didn't want to? hmmm... huge 1100 pound horse with hooves that could probably kill you if they felt like it, hence like, mustanges fight off wild animals?????? wow
WOW, MeaganA09 SHUT UP!!!! some horses LOVE to jump, my horse jumps & everytime we go to the arena she always wants to do every jump every time. She absolutely loves it, and so do i, & ooo guess what she absolutely LOVES ME & i LOVE her! so go shove your foot up your mouth and get a life!!! seriously!
and once again, i know what i am talking about, what , do foals tell you they want to become a jumper? They are forced, OBVIOUSLY, stop fighting when you are clearly wrong, horses are prey animals, frightened of us when they are whipped and beaten to do something, and they do it because the spirit is knocked out of them. GROW UP AND ACCEPT, YOUR HORSE DOESNT LOVE YOU.
@MeaganA09 clearly you have never jumped a horse or probably even ridden one. I am pretty sure everyone would appreciate it if you would stop ranting about things you know nothing about. Horses are not frightened of people and no good rider would ever beat their horse, which you wouldn't know. I have gelding who jumps 4"6 and loves it. If he refuses its because we didn't find a stride not because he dosn't love jumping. p.s. when horses buck after a jump it normally because their having fun
Actually, jumping is natural! How do you think a horse gets on the other side of a fallen log?! WELL! It must have to be jumping, go figure! Like people, horses get scared too, if you go up to a hurdle in track say, you can run to it wrong and fall, horses do that too. They just handle it a different way. So shut up and think before you say anything!
By your obvious annoyance.. i guess i have won this arguement, obviously proven you wrong. Thankyou, its been a pleasure talking to a simpleton... :) Good luck with your horses, seeing as you know how they feel try jumping them in the wild :D lots of luck with that , pfft ughhh so stupid... silly little girl thinks she knows horses... oh well, i feel sorry for your horse. jump to death.
horses are pray animals, therefore they are scared of people, being broken in for example , is the act of brainwashing and knocking the wild instinct of a horse out. Jumping is unnatural, wild horses dont go get there humans to go jumping do they? wonder why.. oh yeah, because its probably the last thing they want to be doing. Clearly, horses dont enjoy jumping, hense the reason for bolting bucking rearing and refusing these gay obstacles.
@MeaganA09 You are so ignorant it's a disgrace to humans and HORSES. You don't know what goes on inside a horse's mind, and from your paragraph it doesn't seem like you know much about horses. So I suggest you stop running your mouth.
@MeaganA09 wow u are sooo wrong!! why do u think there's horse's that come with a prospect?? to tell us what they might want to do best! If horses don't want to jump they'll refuse it! It's just that simple! So stop running your mouth on something you don't even know about!
@MeaganA09 which is why if there are like, logs or anything anywere in pastures horses choose to go and jump them? when there's no one in the pasture??? ahhh i seee....
@MeaganA09 Oh gee. Another stupid argument you are trying to make. Horses are prey animals so they fear animals that prey on them. To them, we are not predators. They don't view us that way. Foals that haven't been broken in aren't brainwashed. Horses are not scared of people. Clearly, not ALL horses enjoy jumping but explain why horses get so antsy when they see the jumps. Why do they try to take the bit from us so they can jump to their hearts desire? And what wild horses are you talking...
about? We don't knock the wild instinct out of horses. They don't have that instinct because they aren't wild. They are simply taught that we aren't going to eat them like some other animals might try to do. But the aren't genetically predisposed to be afraid of humans.
@MeaganA09 fuck off. my horse doesnt love me? your just jealous that people here have a horse and you don't, that people here can easily jump a meter but you cant even jump 1 ft. fuck off asshole and stop telling us what our horses can and cannot do. that is not your say. and those "gay" obstacles you are talking about, if you ever had a horse, that gay obstacle would be you. it's no doubt your horse wouldn't love you, but don't you fucking talk for us.
No accident. Just too much. Thats great, enjoy jumping your horse. Just saying, be careful how much you push them. It can be a horrible life for them in the end, very painful. To me, just being able to sit on something with its own mind and thoughts is amazing, the trust and bond. To ruin that by making to all that work is unfair. Think about it. They have feelings, im sure if they could talk would they be telling you they wanted to jump 4'6 that day??Yeah. Dont think so.
@MeaganA09 One more thing. You are anthropomorphizing them. They have instinct, but they don't have the ability to reason. Yes, we love them, but they are still just horses. Animals. We are the only species that has the ability to reason beyond our instinct. Why do you think that if you get a horse to be ok with going past a scary object in one direction they spook when you walk them past the same object in the other direction? It is the lack of the ability to reason.
I have been on horses, i have been riding since i was 4 years old, i do jump my horses, but as you can see, by any video of horses jumping these heights, it cannot be good for them, no matter how much they love it, in the end, its just going to ruin them. My horse was a 3 day eventer before i got him, it ruined his back legs, put him in a lot of pain, i have seen it happen, it is a cruel sport, jumping, the riders, obviously aren't doing as much as the horse. It is unfair on them.
@MeaganA09 me and my jumper do the 4'6"- 4'9" and he is cared for better than anything i know. Your horse was "ruined" cus he did the eventing and prob had an accident
@MeaganA09 Then you didn't properly take care of his joints. We finally put down our eventer at 38 years old. The guy was ancient! He started life as a racehorse and at 4 years old decided he wasn't going to do it anymore. He was retrained as an eventer and consistently took me through all of my events. We got to the point where we were jumping so high my family was afraid to watch! Haha. He competed at high levels until his late teens and continued to do training level into his late 20's and...
early 30's. Damn, I loved that old guy! He could jump the moon!!! He was the fiercest competitor and was all business, but the minute we got home, he was a giant puppy. I have not been blessed with a horse like him again. He was a once in a lifetime horse. 38 years old! If jumping is supposed to kill them early and is cruel to horses, then Dartanian didn't know it.
Hi i started a channel for all the horse lovers like me. too be able share their interesting stories of them and their lovely horses :) and once i get 5-10 members ill make a video with a weekly topic. please sub so you can get a notice of my videos and if u like/ask ill sub back. oh an at the end of the week ill pick my fav and most like video in my next video topic :D two more members until the very first video!

look, if you hate horses then dont watch horse videos or say stuff about horses cuz for ppl like me, who's life revolves around horses, your comments have no impact and we dont care!!
@ james515nz what is the point of comeing on this video if you jut going to leave a mean comment like that? yyeah sure people have different oppinions but you didnt have to leave a comment like that on this very nice video!

wat a waste of space, u could build a perfectly good motox track there, but nooo its wasted on dumb horses that piss nd shit everywhere thx 4 ruining my day
@james515nz Alright first off, horses and not dumb. Whoever said a horse was dumb, was dumb. Horses don't even piss and shit all over the fucking place so unless you know what you're talking about and you're gonna say something nice, shut the fuck up bitch face.
@james515nz 1) At least horses aren't pouring pollution into the atmosphere like cars do, and would if there was a 'motox' track there.
2) Go learn to spell, then someone might listen to you.
3) You've just proven that you're completely uneducated. For one, you can't spell or grasp the use of grammar. And you're immature enough to call one of the most intelligent animals in the world 'dumb' when you clearly know nothing about them.
@RammsteinRoesli haha im back, oooo fuck my grammar yea its pretty bad aye. haha bro i love number 2 since you dont even consider your self someone. and who the hell drives a car on a motocross track? me just so theres more pollution haha. haters gonna hate!
@james515nz Seeing as I didn't listen to you, yes I didn't consider myself someone. I simply dismissed your idiotic statement. And I think you'll find that motorcross bikes do still give off pollution.
Im so happy, I live in Calgary, so I can go see every spruce meadows show there is! It's an amazing facility for sure. I cant even imagine the thrill of riding there!!!
the REEEEAL dream of everyone who does horse jumping is to ride in my goood old germany xD AACHEN is much better and prettyer than that little stadium hehe
those shows are all either in the middle of winter or spring, not nearly as advertised as the big shows. couldn't you argue that a venue which allows people to grow and progress as they move up to the ranks one of the best?
it also has the n international, where you can win the most amount of money in all of showjumping.
and to go watch it's only $5.
personally, i think it's definitely one of the best venues for show jumping that there is, despite there being shows for 10 year olds.
there are hunter/jumper shows all the way through the season with everything from the pony hunters to international grand prix's, not just in winter or spring, all their shows play host to an international event, its not a separate show...
OMG Yh I Can Only Wlk, Trot, Canter, Gallop And Jump, But, Cross Poles. Yh My Fantasy Has Alwayys Been 2 Enntteeerr Into Da Olympics, With,Well, I Dnt Have A Pony, But, I Will Have A Palomino One, Called Seamus, And 2Gether We R Goin 2 Make Great Britian Become Number1!!!!!!! Ull See! XD x
No, they didn't - it's a really big jump so they're standing up really tall so they can see past their horse - their legs are strongly positioned, showing their action in completely intentional.
I will get there soon. Probly soon after college. I am still pretty new and my horse jumps 3 foot with me. If i can get her to go higher then that would be good for her to do.
I dont get why you ppl cratisze theese riders.. theire in the olympics so obvs unless you are to, there doing SOMETHing right.. where are you at exactly??
i'm not fussy yet about where i want to jump, all i no is i want to be a great showjumper. once i get there i'll be thankful, then i'll start being fussy. =L
THIS ACCUALLY WORKS!!!!!!! !!!!!! 1. )say the name of the boy/girl u like 2 times 2. )now say the name of your bestfriend 5 times to urself 3. )now post this onto 5 videos and then press f8 and then ur crushes name will APPEAR ON THE SCREEN
haha the real dream of all jumpers is to ride in aachen germany :-P i´d love to go the "chio" :D it´s the best stadium ever!! and germany is the best horse riding nation ever hehe^^
its my dream to ride at spruce meadows!!! i live in canada and in a province right beside alberta, and its really close to where we live cuz we live close to the province line, i don't own a horse though, but i haved jumped a couple logs before and in spring im learning how to ride english cuz i can lope, gallop and do all that western but im learning english in spring and when i grow up i want to go showjumping at spruce meadows, i watch it on t.v and ive always dreamed of going there!!!
well actually Megan it's not always like that my friends and horse instructor has horses that have been jumping since they were about 8 of older it is sometimes how young you start the horse and some people just don't care and you have a good opinion but you shouldn't judge just by something, so don't take this wrong im not angry im just saying about the people and horses.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
horses are scared animals , no horse would Want to jump that high , that is just wayy too high for a horse, look at there legs, there powerful but extremely thin, sometimes they just Snap, but smaller jumps can be fun for a horse =)
my horse actually gets more and more excited to jump the higher we go. he LOVES jumping! probably more than i do! where are you getting your proof that no horse would like to jump that high?
Horses are not scared animals. They are prey animals, but that has no impact on their jumping. Some horses like to jump. Even big jumps like those. Horses legs are very strong and the horses are conditioned to withstand such strain on their legs.
@MeaganA09 ...where did you get that information from? a lot of horses LOVE to jump, even bigger heights. And also, if you think that the riders do nothing, it's all the horse, clearly you've never been on a horse. If you say you have, then you're lying. Otherwise you'd know how much work the rider does. Also, it's not cruel at all. It can be, but only if people are dicks to their horses. I would never put my horse through anything that would hurt her, so don't say stuff you have no clue about.
@RammsteinRoesli my horse is amazing at jumping and can jump4ft4 cause he wants to he loves jumping and always wants to jump wen thers poles and wings in the arena so actually its nt cruelty and you just had bad luk!!
I didn't say anything about cruely you idiot. And also, I have a horse douchebag, and I know that they jump because they love it. So why don't you wise the fuck up and learn to read before you throw insults.
And the whole bad luck thing, wtf are you talking about, you retard.
he shouldnt be sitting like that, he must have fallen off, he appears to be a really bad rider, but i hate jumping all together, i know how to jump high, but its cruel, horses in the wild dont run around jumping obstacles for fun, its unatural for that height, and then they die early from arthritis, a horse can easily live to 40 but when they jump its like 25-30 =/ cruel sport, the riders do nothing , it's all the horse.
not really. yes its dangerous but if the horses really didnt want to do it then they wouldnt. they obviously like it if they do it willingly one of my trainers horses loves to jump and one of her boarder horses u HAVE to hold back cause she loves to jump!! the one thing i dont agree with is bronc riding its so cruel!
~Sigh~ Im not amazing, im still learning and yes i understand he wasnt trying to hurt the horse he ACCEDENTLY got up to far, But im pretty sure it WASNT on purpose
You are so rong do you know how hard it is two jump!?!?!?!?!?!? I bet you have never even been on a horse!!!!! Not everyone can jump, it takes yeaers and years just to master a crosrail!!!!!!! You are just a wanabee!!!!!!!!!

@MeaganA09 Yes, a horse does have a mind of it's own and is also 1000 + lbs. If they didn't want to jump, they wouldn't. Simple as that.
And you wouldn't be ruining anything by jumping a horse. You could actually strengthen your bond and become a team.
But, to each their own.

wat a waste of space, u could build a perfectly good motox track there, but nooo its wasted on dumb horses that piss nd shit everywhere thx 4 ruining my day
james515nz 2 years ago
@james515nz Alright first off, horses and not dumb. Whoever said a horse was dumb, was dumb. Horses don't even piss and shit all over the fucking place so unless you know what you're talking about and you're gonna say something nice, shut the fuck up bitch face.
horsecrazy17414 2 years ago
james515nz- asshole!
ponygal11 2 years ago
@james515nz 1) At least horses aren't pouring pollution into the atmosphere like cars do, and would if there was a 'motox' track there.
2) Go learn to spell, then someone might listen to you.
3) You've just proven that you're completely uneducated. For one, you can't spell or grasp the use of grammar. And you're immature enough to call one of the most intelligent animals in the world 'dumb' when you clearly know nothing about them.
So, leave and don't come back :)
RammsteinRoesli 1 year ago
@RammsteinRoesli haha im back, oooo fuck my grammar yea its pretty bad aye. haha bro i love number 2 since you dont even consider your self someone. and who the hell drives a car on a motocross track? me just so theres more pollution haha. haters gonna hate!
james515nz 6 months ago
@james515nz Seeing as I didn't listen to you, yes I didn't consider myself someone. I simply dismissed your idiotic statement. And I think you'll find that motorcross bikes do still give off pollution.

it not the olympics it spruce. there are ppl from the olympics in some of the shows but there are also shows with 10 year olds
keppilover 2 years ago
those shows are all either in the middle of winter or spring, not nearly as advertised as the big shows. couldn't you argue that a venue which allows people to grow and progress as they move up to the ranks one of the best?
it also has the n international, where you can win the most amount of money in all of showjumping.
and to go watch it's only $5.
personally, i think it's definitely one of the best venues for show jumping that there is, despite there being shows for 10 year olds.
Crentesa 2 years ago
there are hunter/jumper shows all the way through the season with everything from the pony hunters to international grand prix's, not just in winter or spring, all their shows play host to an international event, its not a separate show...

What do you mean? It's just cantering, it's going from stage 3 to stage 4 of canter (inside front leg to moment of suspension). It's not painful!
RNSpicey 2 years ago
i meant the one after cuz the rider got popped up the neck
plarsatatl 2 years ago
No, they didn't - it's a really big jump so they're standing up really tall so they can see past their horse - their legs are strongly positioned, showing their action in completely intentional.
RNSpicey 2 years ago
theyr not standing tall so they can see past their horse, they are sitting up so they can make their horses wait to the base and prevent stops

sara1781 3 years ago 2
well actually Megan it's not always like that my friends and horse instructor has horses that have been jumping since they were about 8 of older it is sometimes how young you start the horse and some people just don't care and you have a good opinion but you shouldn't judge just by something, so don't take this wrong im not angry im just saying about the people and horses.

horses are scared animals , no horse would Want to jump that high , that is just wayy too high for a horse, look at there legs, there powerful but extremely thin, sometimes they just Snap, but smaller jumps can be fun for a horse =)
MeaganA09 3 years ago
my horse actually gets more and more excited to jump the higher we go. he LOVES jumping! probably more than i do! where are you getting your proof that no horse would like to jump that high?
HunterJumperGirl40 3 years ago
Horses are not scared animals. They are prey animals, but that has no impact on their jumping. Some horses like to jump. Even big jumps like those. Horses legs are very strong and the horses are conditioned to withstand such strain on their legs.
TwoSoxLover 3 years ago
@MeaganA09 ...where did you get that information from? a lot of horses LOVE to jump, even bigger heights. And also, if you think that the riders do nothing, it's all the horse, clearly you've never been on a horse. If you say you have, then you're lying. Otherwise you'd know how much work the rider does. Also, it's not cruel at all. It can be, but only if people are dicks to their horses. I would never put my horse through anything that would hurt her, so don't say stuff you have no clue about.
RammsteinRoesli 1 year ago
@RammsteinRoesli my horse is amazing at jumping and can jump4ft4 cause he wants to he loves jumping and always wants to jump wen thers poles and wings in the arena so actually its nt cruelty and you just had bad luk!!
ilovexxxaston 1 year ago
@ilovexxxaston what the hell? Are you a bit simple?
I didn't say anything about cruely you idiot. And also, I have a horse douchebag, and I know that they jump because they love it. So why don't you wise the fuck up and learn to read before you throw insults.
And the whole bad luck thing, wtf are you talking about, you retard.
RammsteinRoesli 1 year ago
I love how everyone who comments on riding videos is an expert and points out all these faults. LOL!
theoriginalkbear 3 years ago 2
he shouldnt be sitting like that, he must have fallen off, he appears to be a really bad rider, but i hate jumping all together, i know how to jump high, but its cruel, horses in the wild dont run around jumping obstacles for fun, its unatural for that height, and then they die early from arthritis, a horse can easily live to 40 but when they jump its like 25-30 =/ cruel sport, the riders do nothing , it's all the horse.
MeaganA09 3 years ago
you obviously don't know anything about jumping or horses
shwiftcarvalho 3 years ago 2
not really. yes its dangerous but if the horses really didnt want to do it then they wouldnt. they obviously like it if they do it willingly one of my trainers horses loves to jump and one of her boarder horses u HAVE to hold back cause she loves to jump!! the one thing i dont agree with is bronc riding its so cruel!
