This has happened to me 3 times when I stabbed someone with ballistic knives, I was all like yeah, time for some dogs and then it's all like assist: 80 points. It happened again twice on combat training too. And none of them had second chance.

The tomahawk actually hits the guy as he is in the process of falling into second chance because someone else shot him. :( I think its impossible to kill someone the second they start to fall into second chance. That is also why you see soooooo many more hitmarkers if your for example using the ak to kill someone who has second chance on.

i know why its because before he threw someone was putting him in last stand and treyarc made it so that if you kill someone in last stand that you DIDNT put in last stand it will be an assist. there were so many people saying they were getting annoyed of people taking there last stand kills hope this helps ;)
