  • Mr Grissom is a fine player---but not here.Sounds like he's never heard the song before, which could well be true of course.

It's nonsense to say this is not a two-guitar song.Check out 'PRS at DV - Davy Knowles - Tear Down The Walls' where Bernie Marsden gels perfectly and really adds to the song.

  • @kingstumble it DOES seem like it's his first time hearing the song.

  • hear ya, and definitely not ragging DG. more a comment on the tune itself. grissom's one-of-a-kind, and i think i've figured out why: it's not just his slithery/spanky lead lines or tight chording, it's his attack. you hear it when he plays acoustic, too. it's so powerful and tight at the same time, there's just a way his notes bloom out, and it's not his gear that does it. listen to the good stuff from Storyville. David Holt is a great guitarist, but DG's stuff just explodes.

  • The day before this they played this song and Grissom just KILLED Davey!! Don't get me wrong, I love Davey and he's a fantastic player but what Grissom did on this song the day before this just took it to a much higher level!

  • what a great video. fascinating watching grissom trying to find his "spot" in this song. he didn't: it's not really a two-guitar song. the defining element is that crunchy riff over the chord progression and davey's simple fills; a second guitarist -- even david grissom -- just distracts. would be fun to hear it re-orchestrated, though. love this video.

think the real drums got stolen from the van? ;-)

  • man...poor drummer has to play some shitty electronics.
