Only because ToT2 has good lighting and good theming. Also ToT2 dosent go higher because of Giant Drops safety regulations and arthorised rules by the ride. But Superman has no ride attachments to its tower. So ToT2 would go the same height as Superman if Giant Drop wasnt attached to the same tower as ToT2. But they should keep Giant Drop cause its the tallest vertical drop fun ride in the world.

But when ToT2 was opened to the public, designers of Intamin put magnetic airtime systems on the new cars, so when the cars went up the tower the systems would activate and the cars would get more airtime. So technically they are both the same but Superman has a higher structure. But next maintence season ToT2 will be installing those MAS on the cars. If i had a choice in which is better i would go for ToT2.

Right ill end this war between ToT2 and Superman. When i was workin on the car designs for ToT2 i ask the general manager at Dreamworld to see if this thing would go higher. He said that Intamin never designed these types of rides to go over 100 miles or 160 kph and never go above 100m or 330ft....

The difference is that your actually going to be traveling at 104 mph vs. 100, and as soon as you take off backwards your body gets pulled frontwards as your getting pulled backwards with so much G force that once you start going up the "L" - Shaped superstructure, it feels like you’re about to come off the train tracks and you start to panic because the sensation is unlike any other ride at Six Flags. Don't take my word for it, go ride it and see for yourself..

Superman is amazing!!! I was actually there and was one of the first to test ride on 2/19/11, in this thing traveled at 104 mph. Unlike traditional coasters, SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton will blast riders at 100 mph backwards on a dual track that spans 900 feet and looms 415 feet in the air, forming a gigantic “L” shaped superstructure. Riders will hang face first with a birds-eye-view of the entire Santa Clarita Valley before plummeting back down to earth.

@Coasternator The New Texas Giant is more than a "steeper drop." I hope you realize that they have spent the past 6+ months re-tracking the entire coaster with steel track. Not sure if you've noticed but it will have:

A steeper drop, A taller drop, 3 Highly banked turns (90 degrees or higher), 3 All new custom design trains

And did I mention it is now all STEEL. It will be a much smoother ride as well. This is the first time this has ever been done to a wooden coaster.
