does anyone else think this sounds like Mr. Moustache By Nirvana??/ Not saying that they stole or anything its just that as soon as I heard the beginning of the song i was like wtf
@MrSkaterboy613 it sounds nothing like mr moustache in my opinion, the only thing that is remotely similar are the drums but loads of rock songs use drums like that
@birdy47 Pj to me are like cast aways from that era,u cant actually box em into some style...i mean how much diversity can you get?its like those guys are mixing 3 decades of rock..not only "70s" rock..they have shitload of styles, everything, you name it, you have the stooges in them with"do the evolution"then you have the neil youngish "red mosquito" but hey...want some velvet underground too?you bet....present tense, no?how about some bob dylan with "eldery woman.." wow.i mean wow
@theachtungtree Well i did say 70's Rock Feel i didnt actually say thats their only style and they arnt my fave Grunge band but i can tell they're prob yours
@birdy47 yeah..they are my fav cause of that too..almost every grunge band over that time where an extension of hard rock-punk...pj never quite fitted with them cause they tried to bring classic back to the table again...kurt hated them, mudhoney, pixies & sonic youth fans thought they wherent cool..& obviously pj was just too soft amongst soundgarden & aic metal-like bands,it was just too weird, not that they where original but their music is like a nice balance between possitive & dark themes
@theachtungtree Kurt never said he hated them. He just hated their sound because he likes more Alternative stuff but i think he prob would have liked songs like Do The Evolution but he died so we'll never know. Who cares all of em rock.
@TheatreOfPain979 (Birdy47 on new account) yeah i know, i couldnt list all the Grunge bands, you've got bands like Soundgarden, Screaming Tree's, Tad, Mad Season and LOADS more dude.
@birdy47 what I liked about the nineties is that all my favourite bands sounded completely different. Rock and metal music these days just isn't as good as the nineties. There's some really good metal bands out there but they tend to sound the same, and rock bands....are there any rock bands left?
@stoltobot -plenty, they just aren't on tv. Most of the good ones are independent and still in the underground andhopefully it stays that way this time.
I kinda like the way that Mudhoney have always been around for me to enjoy without the whole world having to know about them.I had the priveledge of meeting the band 09.10.09 that was really cool as i hadn't spoke to them in 14 years.Still humble dudes & live they perform same as they did when i saw them in 1995.Long live the Fuzz!! \m/

READ IT!!! in 1902 A little boy and girl were playing on the beach. Then, A BIG wave, like a mini tidal-wave, came, and knocked them over. When they finally opened their eyes, A guy with a mask and a bunch of bandages on him was standing over them. He had a sword. He cut them up and drank their blood. copy & paste this to 2 other videos, or the boy and girl will cut u up with 2 swords when you r asleep.

Dirty dirty punk... this must be the bible for grunge music (you can hear this on Nirvana, Pearl jam and even Soundgarden, just to name the well nown ones)
electric ball room camden, the year 90, i was 19 and i was transfixed. at last i found my passion in music, they called it alternative then later to be known as grunge, either way it's stuck with me to this day i,m 37 now and still get goose bumps when i play the trees, tad, mudhoney, sonic youth.....the list is endless

Yes! Best genre in rock in my opinion, because Grunge has just about every theme of music compiled, it's metal, it's hippy, it's stoner, it's EVERYTHING.
um NO...nirvana just went what seemed mainstream at those times first...but it was pearl jam and mudhoney and soundgarden and a couple other bands that began the grunge era...nirvana is alright..but they are WAY too overrated.
I'm sorry but pearl jam is WAY overrated.....mudhoney is one of the godfathers of grunge and soundgarden....great band but not one of the founders of grunge. Nirvana on the other hand changed the music industry forever so yes another godfather of grunge. I guess that's where that old saying comes in.....Opinions are like assholes..everybody has one! Soundgarden was a huge powerhouse in "grunge" but there were mostly 87-90's, bands like Pearl jam (Ament, Stone) were made up of members from bands like Green River, Mother Love Bone (Huge influences in "grunge").

pearl jam is obviously seman and green river was better. I mean honestly Eddie Vedder sat in the studio on black and heard "do do do do do do" for 3 minutes and went-Yep thats perfect. what i love about Grunge bands is that they are all different:
Alice In Chains are more influenced by Metal-ish
Nirvana are kinda like Punk-ish and Rock-ish
Pearl Jam have kinda a 70's rock feel to them
Mudhoney have kinda a Phycadelic sound to them with abit of Punk mixed in
Grunge Lives!!
