I can't believe how many people there are that don't know about W.A.S.P.! Such a phenomenal band, how could this be? Someone needs to talk to all the metal-heads that limit their horizons to only bands metallica, megadeath, iron maiden, black sabbath and say: "HEY LOOK, if you like these bands, then you will L.O.V.E. W.A.S.P. guaranteed! Just fucking listen to it!" Maybe some just cant handle the balls to the wall attitude. Shame to miss out on Blackies brilliance & supernatural voice
@BarryMcClure Are you serious that some folk don't know about WASP?! Jesus Christ, they've been around in some shape or form for 25 years or so. I remember listening to them when I was growing up, along with all the bands you mentioned & more. I think I was about 16 when The Headless Children album came out! And sure Blackie's still knocking about these days, isn't he? Folk don't know what they're missing by being narrow minded & bowing to peer pressure... EXPLORE EVERYTHING!

He's renounced & denounced some of his old work he did with WASP, in particular Animal (F**k like a Beast), so I suppose, in a way, the old Blackie is dead. Mind you, I'd suggest you check it out for yourself, just in case my source is wrong...
@barney5635 haha yeah ofc blackie is still alive, I seen him last year when he turned a born-again christian, you are correct and they dont play Sleeping in the Fire or Animal anymore :'( two of their best songs. My Fave album though is The Headless Children Mutha Fucka \m/

Any band that gets as much air play as them is bound to have a lot of followers regardless of the way it sounds it will still appeal to a lot of people.
@hermygagala It's not so black and white...you see Metallicas 1st 4 lps are great...buy them and listen to them and than tell me they suck. The black album was mediocre and the rest were complete crap. Metallica does have alot of gay fans and they do get too much radio play but their 1st 4 cds are still great. Wasp had alot of followers back in the day too.

In comparison Metallica has had way more success than they deserve.My favorite band is Nazareth (their variety is unmatched) Wasp is second. I love maiden they are in my top ten. A band that I declare tenth in the list I probably listen to more than a lot of people do if they are their first favorite band.
@hermygagala I don't know Nazareth, but I agree with your post. Iron without Bruce had a discontinous quality in their works. Metallica disappointed me after the Bob Rock "revolution". Wasp (expecially Lawless, thanks to his talent and voice) have always baked good works.

Regarding the random songs I listed, they are from the albums: Play N the Game, Rampant, and Razamanaz. The albums have some softer songs on them, but they are great as well. If you would like me to recommend more just ask, but I don't want to suffocate you with suggestions, so start with (Expect No Mercy, No Mean city, and Hair of the Dog.)

Yeah its either this or FDG as the best song on the album....its just an amazing album which doesnt get the credit it deserves...amazing.....saw them for the first time on this tour..and seeing them next Sunday night in Belfast again, cant wait...a truely underated song writer........they just dont make metal like this these days.....this is the best WASP line up ever......

@Dshtreeriverfuk I think all of Wasps albums are great I really like Maiden but I personally think Wasp is better but it is only a personal opinion nothing to get into an argument about. But I think we can both agree that Wasp and Maiden are better than Metallica.
@hermygagala wasp has catchier singles and vocals but for consistancy and musical ability I give it to Maiden. Wasp has mostly mediocre Lps with a few really catchy songs and mostly fillers. Headless children and the Crimson Idolare Wasps only good lps...the rest are ok or shitty. Iron Maiden has 8 Lp's filled with amazing songs and only 4 mediocre/crappy lps. Own and listen to both bands discographies over and over and you'll see what I mean. Metallicas 1st 4 cds are great.
