the only thing in the video that was false was the part about marijuana not needing any pesticides. There are countless bugs and insects that can ruin the plant and although there are a variety of natural ways to get rid of them, some pesticides are necessary to save the plants from dying.

@Kasimkage thered still be reduction in logging becuase hemp produces more fibre over time than a forest can on the same plot of land, replant some hemp instead of trees in some of the deforested areas and replant trees in the othe areas plus slow down the logging. logging has sustained my family for generations but I still think we need to slow down, theres huge clear cuts away from the touristy areas where I live its devastation.

the only thing in the video that was false was the part about marijuana not needing any pesticides. There are countless bugs and insects that can ruin the plant and although there are a variety of natural ways to get rid of them, some pesticides are necessary to save the plants from dying.

@Kasimkage thered still be reduction in logging becuase hemp produces more fibre over time than a forest can on the same plot of land, replant some hemp instead of trees in some of the deforested areas and replant trees in the othe areas plus slow down the logging. logging has sustained my family for generations but I still think we need to slow down, theres huge clear cuts away from the touristy areas where I live its devastation.

@locom27 if you replace oil industry with biofuel industry you not only reduce emisions from the fuels use, but you are taking more co2 out of the air with more plants. its the same thing if we increased crop farming around he world, more plants = more CO2 taken out of air and converted into oxygen, with marijuana vast uses in many industrys it could stop global warming since you reduce the co2 being made a large amount in almost every sector, and you increase co2 absorption aswell.

When a plant forms Ethanol (biofuel), it has to turn 1mole of glucose (C6H12O6) into 2 moles of Ethanol, and 2 moles of carbon dioxide.
The Carbion Dioxide is released into the air, we then burn Ethanol to release 2 more moles of Carbon Dioxide.
Plants release more than they absorb.

I love getting high and I am an absolutely fierce advocate of marijuana, but the whole "it's just a plant" thing has got to go. Castor beans are also only plants, and they are the deadliest plant on the planet. That marijuana is a plant is just as irrelevant to the issue as the higher potency of today's marijuana (which, for politicians and others that are anti-drug, is somehow a bad thing).

@Technikian it effects people differantly, i smoked it like smoking ciggarettes!! for 12 years and it screwed me. ok that was my fault, but there a plenty of people like me who smoked it heavily and had the same dreadful withdrawel. smoking weed was fun at first but then it just made me skint , a prisoner, unsociable, cynical, introvert, moody, lazy and downright aggressive when i couldnt get any. i guess weed works for some, but it didn't work for me in the end.

I disagree with the lung disease part. Inhaling burt plant is bad for your lungs no matter what plant it is. But I agree with the cancer part in that it doesn't cause cancer. I think you can only get a lung disease if your smoking HEAVY amounts for years and years and not giving your lungs a break. I quit for a little bit because my left lung was starting to get irritated and it hurt to breath lol. Now everything better. Moderation is the key I guess.

But that just proves my point, the worst part about marijuana is probably the smoke in the lungs which, without the harmful chemicals of ciggerettes, barely does anything (and is obviously not exclusive to marijuana but smoking in general. Marijuana actually has certain things in it that can treat and prevent certain cancers in the head and neck.
Marijuana is a wonderful plant.
