cavic won this race, yet phelps' time registered first. Cavic actually had a more "standard" finish, and it worked okay, but if you notice phelps's SECOND to LAST stroke, he makes it quick so he can get another quick stroke in. Not textbook, just pure great swimmer instinct. Too bad for cavic, his fingers touched first, but he didn't hit hard enough in time. (it takes a few milliseconds to register time on the touchpad, even if your already touching it. It needs some pressure to register)

No discussion. Phelps won. I'm a swimmer and I know there is no way that you can "Fake" a win. Phelps I admit got lucky on this race but he is 99.9% skill. God just gave him a little help here.

@gadxyz I almost agree with ya, im a swimmer too. But check cav's head on the last stroke....he blew lifted up and his pace dropped, even mike said if he hadnt lifted his head, cav woulda won. Phelps won this fair and square, EVEN THOUGH he was wrecked from the previous races AND wasnt wearing those cheat suits for this event

@govno992 Ok let me see if I can explain this to you, if you look at the underwater shot at 1:05, Phelps is on the left, Cavic on the right you can clearly see that Phelps' right hand finger tip is touching the wall where as Cavic has yet to finish. Second, this happened like 3 years ago, let it go already Phelps won, thats the end of it

@poorcku the touch pad is designed so that when its "touched" itll activate when the person would have hit the wall... the pad is about 2cm thick... just because u touch first doesnt mean u won
