There are 45 cases for Fridrich F2L (first two layers using something called corner-edge pairs, I know how to solve all of them pretty fast, but I figured out almost all of the algorithms on my own, the method can be quite intuitive). Then I know 47 of the 57 OLLs (orient last layer) and all 21 PLLs (permute last layer).
Longer than it should have. I am bad (or lazy) at learning algorithms, I started using the Fridrich method about 2 years ago. However, a friend of mine started cubing (and I mean solved a cube for the first time) about 3 months ago and already uses corner-edge pairs with confidence, has an effective 2-look OLL (2 phases, 10 OLL algs minimum (3 edge OLLs, 7 corner OLLs), but he knows more), and knows 17/21 PLL cases. He averages under 40 seconds and is rapidly improving.

Nice, have you hit sub-60 before?
elimescube 3 years ago
Yes actually, but not on camera. What is your fastest time?
Geco180 3 years ago
12.44 I think...

Yikes! About how many algorithms have you memorized?

How long did that take to learn?
