I really like how this movie ended from the ghost's point of view. It forces you to feel her lonliness as she watches the car and all its occupants drive away, off to continue the life she no longer has.
I don't understand the negative comments here. The cinematography is awesome - love the sepia and "old-time" camera effect. The music is perfect. The timing is wonderful. The is a classic ghost story - what could be lame about that? Even more powerful because of the twist and because there is no talking to water it down.
I think people were disappointed there was no cheesy zombie screaming at you toward the end. ::rolls eyes:: Been in my favorites a long time.
Beautiful! I loved the Sepia tone and sad violin music. They really do compliment each other. The ghost lady looked a little like Pele, the firebreather. Very nicely done. Bravo! Bravo!!
I loved it! Beautiful, beautiful graveyard shots, the music set the mood very well, the color scheme was wonderful, and I'm very glad you cast real women instead of bulimic headcases with more botox than brains. You deserve to be very proud of this film.
I don't care what anyone has to say bad about this video. It was absolutely wonderful. It had a gentle feel between the girl and the lady and that music was wonderful.
It really does make you think. You did a marvelous job. I wish that there could be more videos like this on YouTube. I am certainly glad I found this one though.
Considering what crappy equipment you had to work with, this is really good work, Nicky, dahling! Your succeeding videos will be even better and better. I can tell. But stay out of my back yard! The lady stepped on my flowers. Love always.
it was great! If it were me though i would've just left it like the girl runs away.and then the woman looks to see around the corner and shes gone then the woman goes behind a tree and doesn't come out the other side. so it makes you think which one was the ghost, the woman or the girl? the girl could've ran very fast and the woman would be then ghost but maybe the girl really did disapear and the woman just stopped behind the tree to rest and not keep going.
That was very beautiful. It was very much liked a 1910's theatre/movie film. Although I have to agree, the Honda Civic took away the real early feel. But it's not too big of a deal.
I enjoyed it very much cause I was led to beleive that the little girl was probably the ghost.
I am so sorry to the person that made this but Im to scared to watch it bcause I just saw that fake car ad that scared the shit out of me now Im to scared to watch any more ghost vids. Whaaaaaa
The Honda Civic killed it. The whole goth feel mixed with a modern Japanese car totally ruined it. Should have used a classic European car. That would have been better. Even a beat up 70's Mercedes would have worked. Typical SFSU/Academy Of Art film majors.
If she had the budget for it, I'm sure she would have used a 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe. What film school did YOU attend, Higeki, that we might pursuade them to add Budgeting into their film curriculum?
I'm surprised you responded, Nicky. Waste is a terrible thing to mind. Or was it, a mind is a terrible thing--? Anyway.
Perhaps Maida Khan here has some expertise in what's good in film. After all, Maida watches a lot of Bollywood and Pakistani films on Maida's newly installed Fortec Ultra.
Probably watches almost as many Bollywood films as me.
what a waste of time! nothing beautiful or interestig about it, just an age old tale of who really is the ghost in the end. Music is terrible. People are just trying to squeeze out 'hidden' &/or 'metaphorical' meanings out of it, when clearly there are none. 0.5/10
the shots seemed very Nosferatu (or just classic German filming) inspired. What cemetery in Colma has a view of the GG bridge or is that a Matte shot because I didn't think it was visible anywhere in Colma.
Excellent work for the budget constraints you probably had to deal with.
Thank you. It was filmed in Mission Dolores and Presidio Cemeteries. I've heard that the Colma cemetery is beautiful, as well, but I chose the two in San Francisco.
Thank goodness! Finally someone gets it. No offense to the others who have commented, but I was beginning to worry, there. Thank you for your comments, and thanks for watching!
I thought this was very beautiful, very sad and very subtle. From my perspective, the woman was the ghost. She sits sad and lonely in the cemetery and briefly befriends a little girl who is visiting with her family. She looks almost as though he grave may have been forgotten, and looks sad when the little girl leaves. And in the little girl’s innocence, she has no idea she has just made contact with a ghost. And the soundtrack was the perfect amount of sad and haunting. Well done!
It was good- except there was nothing about a ghost. That's why I was the first to vote/first to comment about this being the way it is. If one of them dissapeared, or something like that, then I would award it way more than it got for me. Sorry. And I think it really was good, just that it needed to be ghostly in order for it to be awarded a name with something about ghosts in it.
Hey - you see what you see. It was implied that the child appears suddenly in the tree as the woman scans the graveyard. When the child points out the woman on the hill to her mother, the woman has suddenly disappeared only to reappear as they are driving away. The story was meant to be subtle so maybe you missed it. Thanks for watching.

i dig the 20's sepia tone. a lot. what made you decide to go with that instead of black-and-white?
also the only thing id change is cut the first shot of the woman A LOT. there's like ten seconds there if not more that you dont need at all.
