The Flood Ship came out of a slipspace portal. UNSC and Covenant ships can make them, and they move extremely fast through space using them. Kinda like Hyperspace for Starwars, or Warp for Star trek.

naw, infinity ward still made the largest portion of mw3. activision was really fast with getting new staff. sledgehammer games did a lot with multiplayer and more or less also helped fill the gap of the people that left. but the team making mw3 was larger then the mw2 in total

@Kootra Kootra basically what happened was the flood jumped on a covenant ship and rode it to high charity. Truth took his whole fleet and all the brutes with him and left to attack earth (second battle of earth). On of the covenants ships tried to escape to friends when it was overrun by the flood which is why it shows up on earth after truth invades
