@myfacesp My suggestion - Keep watching. The first season of Parks isn't good but it helps to set up the characters. The 2nd season is where it gets truly amazing. Watch the first 7-8 episodes of the 2nd season and you'll fall in love with it.

This show seems like it has insiders, and Im not in them, so its not funny. Also the whole theme is not humorous. The Office is funny because everyone has those type of jobs where the boss is always trying to fit in or your co-workers compete and play pranks on one another....but this is just my opinion, if you like this show, thats on you.

Season 1 was not that great. Its episodes were not that funny, and the characters either boring or one note. That being said, season 2 gave the show such a creative overhaul. It is one of the funniest shows on television. Not as funny as the Office or 30 Rock, but it is consistently funnier.

As for this theme song, it is fantastic, very uplifting. Its more of a theme than many other sitcoms these days, you can hear all the different layers of music, and again, very uplifting.

Watched this show for the first time just then. God awful. It completely lacks the subtlety of The Office. It doesn't look the same or feel the same, and the main actress seems like she thinks she's on Saturday night live impersonating Carell's Michael Scott. They should have taken Rashida Jones' character from the office and put it into this, in a different setting, away from Scranton.

The Office is anything but subtle these days, it is full of cheap humor and unbelievable situational comedy. That's why it is now the weakest part of NBC's Thursday night. Parks and Rec FTW.
