  • The sound is incredible!

  • They are monsters! Lol@someone commenting they could get hurt..these mean assholes tear that gym up!

  • Steroids

  • They need some music in that gym!!

  • Imagine working out like that over on 8:05, lol. Also take notice that the reason to why gyms don't allow you to workout like this is because as you see, half of the workouts are high risk injuries to your lower and upper back. I was saying damn, this dude is going to break his neck few times in this video. But a lot of these workouts are modified these days to lower the risk of injury.

  • They're amazing !!!!

  • POLSKA SIŁA!!!

  • could someone tell me what the name of that machine is at 7:50 and is there anything like it here in the U.S. ? Man I wish gyms would let you train like that today!!!!!!!!!

  • Is that a fucking smith machine at 5:18?

  • @kariido1 No. It's a narrow power cage. York Barbel used to sell those years ago.

  • Its just a shame that this type of training is seen as old school or old in any way as it still builds great strength and requires minimal equipment-you dont need to spend 40-50 pounds a month on some crap corporate gym you just need a barbell/lots of plates/squat stands and room enough to use them.

  • @thoomoo

True, but if you live in a metropolis, then every inch of space is rather expensive. I am already happy I have a balcony.

But I have yet to find a gym where you can snatch or CnJ. At the very most they have a squat-cage, but no room for Olympic lifts... Commercial gyms hate squatters, and dont get them started about Olympic lifters, supposedly those who want to train seriously scare away the ordinary folks...

  • legs built s ogood

  • Absolutely FANTASTIC lifts and form...these guys are a joy to watch!

    True pros!

  • LOL they slam those machine weights

  • they had nothing like proteinshakes .. only eat and train - thats true weightlifting/bodybuilding.

  • @leongraaf Protein shakes are just whey protein, the same as food. You make no sense, you imply that some who takes protein shakes can get bigger than someone who is not taking them. I could have access to all the protein shakes in the world but you could still get more protein than me through fish and chicken.

  • @ProcyonAlpha he couldve just said supplements or steroids

  • Awesome. This type of training should be popular, not some bodybuilding garbage.

  • The Best Video on YT for Ol Skool Training! What a find! Olympic Lifting's Amazing.

  • Great video, this stuff is gold man.

  • i might actually use the smith machine if it looked like this one 5:00

  • @fuxu123 it is, nice. kinda like a power rack.I

  • 0:51 leg of a women O.o?

  • @MrEhbaw what ar eyou talking about

  • no clips

  • Just beautiful, those power cleans.. god damn.

  • Back in those days, skinny teenagers had to get a train and a bus and a ticket to sit in the audience so that they can yell 'Steroids', 'fags' and 'worst form I have ever seen!' at the competitors.

Keyboards and the internet have made trolls lazy.

  • where can I get one of these outfits?

  • does it say eleiko on some of the plates?

  • Awesome video

  • 8:07 LMAOOOO THERES NO WAY U CAN WATCH THAT SCENE WITHOUT LAUGHING

  • 5:58 omg those lunges are fucking insane

  • Explosive good mornings were probably the scariest things i have seen

  • Comment removed

  • Classic footage.

  • thundahorz sent me here...

  • Power

  • very clean technique

  • To answer some questions:

Timing: after 1972. Video features Z Smalcerz, referring to him as olympic champion (Munich 1972)

Plates: 25kg (~55lbs). The guy on 4:40 is lifting 270kg according to the commentary (10 plates + the olympic bar)

  • Why did they suck so bad in the war if they had guys that could flip over tanks?

  • @BloodPlusPwn

because we had horses and they had tanks

  • wow Smith machine squats. Awesome video

  • are these 45 lbs plates theyre using??? seems like a fukn lott of weightt for shoulder press, and behind the neck press

  • @BananaShake21 55lbs plates

  • Old school strength training will never get old.

  • wow this is fantatstic footage .Thanks for uploading, where /when?.

It must have been wonderful to be so athletically powerful.

  • A Samoan went to london, joined a gym, and was befriended by a polish man and his friends.A Friendship that continues today was born and training knowledge was passed on. Priceless.Polish power.. Davai!!!!!

  • Great Video, just goes to show jus how long olympic style lifts have been superior to isolation exercises that reign supreme supreme in todays gyms.

  • the guy at 1:00 looks more like Michael Cera than Mclovin to me.

  • Pure natural strength and power ,great vid.

  • How heavy are those plates? 45 lbs?

  • lol the random polish in most shit i watch really makes me happy im polish

  • Awesome video. I liked the idea of the reverse deadlifts.. Didn't ever really think to do that.

  • lots of speed need in olympic lifting. probably why it is better for sports.

  • 6:45 My lumbar popped just sitting in my recliner watching that.

  • i trained in bodybuilding for 20 some years. that makes me pretty experienced. and i know for a fact it didn't do much for my grappling. i started olympic lifts awhile ago, i sure is hell can tell the difference. power, speed and explosiveness are better now, than i was in my twenties. so, i have some idea what iam talking about.

  • i wish i could of done this type of training when i started instead of the stupid bodybuilding. they type would of helped my grappling more.

  • @alfredtink please dont comment if you have no idea on earth what your on about, stupid kid

  • NLS-BTW the music in our garage gym is the sound of clanging plates

  • NLS ...back to school and learn to see the forest for the trees. And before you say I am bitchin again, I don't really mean for you to hike to the grove of tress nearest your home, look at it and picture a forest...

  • NLS-The comment something called humor. My comment was really about the cool ass, old school work with lots of iron. Go

  • oldschool tendon tearing and knee busting....

  • Does anyone have any idea what year this footage was taken?

  • @bigislander72 I'm guessing late 30's or 40's for sure.

  • @Reaps1291 After looking a bit, I am not so sure its that old. Look at the very beginning. The sign on the top says '77. Then there is a date on the sign starting at 0:02. I can't make it out for sure but my guess is 1969. Then of course there is the "porno soundtrack" roryrook refers to!

Does anyone out there know who these guys are, by name? With that info a better estimate on the date would be possible.

  • @Reaps1291 Yea, they sure were doing a shit ton of weightlifting and filmmaking in Poland in the late 30s and early 40s.

    Really?

  • @bigislander72 Yes. 1970

  • Boy, they're abusive to that machine at the end.

  • that is a very unique smith machine. far better than the one's used now. at 8:05 it looks like a bunch of grown men playing in a jungle gym. lol.

  • the guy in white looks like michael cera

  • Everybody who bitches about having to do power cleans without bumper plates needs to see this video. These lifters have absolutely no problems lowering the weight to their thighs.

  • @WorldPeace4All6 Still they had bumper plates back then. Looks liked they bounced quite a bit when dropped.

  • Wow grip design has not changed on barbell.

  • its not screaming you duch. its a grunt and they dont grunt because if you can tell this is light weight for theses guys. this i a good vid to see for technique and proper lifting tips. and good movement.

  • wow weightlifters machine orgy at 8:04 lol. where are the fluff girls?

  • @hybridman

    hahahaha

  • Jest tam mowa o niejakim Rabczewskim... czyżby z tych Rabczewskich, u których gwiazda w rodzinie świeci nam jasno w mediach???

  • why should they scream? you need to breathe right not scream right.. i can imagine americans would scream to look badass and slam the barbell by every chance to do so..probably would also smash the boxes at 1:19 to look cool or whatever..f-ing burgers!

  • Great video, only wish I could speak Polish :( doesn't it sound weird tho how quiet it is while they are lifting..Weightlifting B.P (before Pantera) lol

  • @Britishmark77

    hahaha B.P nice

  • great vid

  • why dude at 1:00 look like mclovin from superbad

  • @fir3bender no he looks like Michael Cera

  • yeh thats what i meant lol

  • @fir3bender no mclovins friend

  • @fir3bender you mean michael cera?

  • @fir3bender he looks nothing like mclovin.

  • @saucychurch23

but he look exactly like michael cera

  • @ahmednabil i can definitely see that resemblance

  • @fir3bender not mclovin the other guy

  • @superchickenboy2 my bad scera or how you spell it llol

  • good video. :)

  • awesome stuff! polish power..

  • Except for the porno soundtrack at the beginning of the documentary, this is a real gem. It does a great job showing all the assistance exercises for the C&J. I'd like to se a similar doc for the S. This is great old school stuff that will work for lifters of today.

  • @roryrook Quit bitching about the music. I'll take that over your gym's Kelly Clarkston songs any day.

  • @roryrook which porn are you watching,still in the 80´s ?

  • @corporacionmonstruo My friend...are you kidding me? That's 1970's all the....uhhhh...I mean...a friend told me the that soundtrack'd be from 70's porno all the way.

  • @roryrook : )

  • good old polish lifting, ive seen this :P
