  • Zeniarai Benten Shrine is a popular shrine in western Kamakura, where people flock in order to wash their money (zeniarai means "coin washing"). It is said that money washed in the shrine's spring, will double.

  • The countryside is awesome. I made the mistake of eating outside in front of the daibutsu last spring and a hawk swooped down and grabbed the croquette right out of my wife's hand - no freakin joke. Great stuff as always, Chris.
