OK...this one definitely sounds crisp & beautiful. Gorgeous piano. I'm now thinking that each piano has it's own tone...it's own personality. That no two pianos sound the same even if they are the same brand. So now I'm back at "square one" deciding between a Baldwin or a Steinway. I just want to be satisfied for the rest of my life with my choice. Help!!
It's amazing how different the Hamburg Steinways sound in comparison to the New York models, especially the Concert Grand. They sound so much warmer and mellower...a more "rounded" tone, I guess. The New Yorkers have a gigantic, crashing, brighter tone that seems to have a lot more volume and growl. More suited to Rachmaninoff concerti and the big sound needed for those.
first of all i wanna tell you is, you play great and fluently
this piano is my favorite if i was very rich or i win the lotery i defendly gonna buy this piano i rather spend a lot of money on this piano then for a car like a ferrari or lamborghini
i just cant imagen how it would be to play the song from
@NuovoCurioso Altough S&W pianos are to my opinion one if not the first of the Top 3 of companies producing pianos, I totally disagree when you say that classical music is the "true" music. (Like a "true" sport)
And when you say not everyone deserves to play on it.
Music is not and has never be for the higher class only. I think anyone that has something to share with music should be allowed to play any instrument, whether it's rare, expensive, or associated to girls/boys or any other reason.
@mathieuemi666 Everyone has an opinion on the music ... The sport has nothing to do in my speech.
I know that even in jazz or pop music there are great talents and great artists, but the fact remains that I love most classical music for a thousand more reasons. I do not know you, if you are a true artist can fully understand what I meant and it is difficult to express.
@NuovoCurioso Good night, I'm okay with that, but nevermind, if I had a grand piano I'd let anyone who asks (if they came for dinner or so) play on it, whether he's a professional music player (of any genre) or a kid just having taken his first lessons... But I respect your opinion. And the main thing is that everyone is happy with what he plays or listen to!
@wclmyy I agree with you, but one shouldn't forget these are always built/repared by very qualified people. People working at Steinway's aren't really better than other talented piano makers. (These people are called "Facteur de piano" in French (facteur is not the postman in this context!), I don't know how do you call them in English)
Wow sir, this is my favorite song played on my favorite and dream piano! Just beautiful!!!

@vickiehill1 Steinway for better sound and quality, but more pricy. Overall better, Baldwin is cheaper but not as good

@superstarduc
Because it is refurbished. When it is not original, and the more parts you changes, the less the value is
