i agree.. my brother composes music and he told me once that all he does is hear chord progressions in pieces of music (such as "love shack") and writes a song with them! It is the exact reason why Mozart and Beethoven were SO spectacular, because they were some of the first, those melodies had never been used before. Personally i think the fact that he composed anything from it is more than spectacular!

This is not a criticism, but this song has parts very much like "Right Here Waiting For you", and another song of yours does have parts like "Can You Feel The Love Tonight." I think this is real but unintentional, it happens with me when I'm composing. That being said, there are clearly completely original parts, and your songs show your talents as a composer and a player.

They are the exact same note but depending on the instrument u play, it is easier to say one or the other. For instance, most strings players would say G# and most wind would say A flat. No difference, just the nature of the instrument =P
