  • Even he is all like 'Did you really just do that dude? What the fuck was that?'

  • BEHOLD!!!!! MY SUPER SHRINKY-DINK!!!!!

  • gotta be the most bizarre and useless weapon in super hero history...

  • lol to the whole movie smh

  • Comment removed

  • he got S faced

  • I didn't know about that power.

  • More is going on here I think than people give credit for. Non is a retard and what is the best way to stop a retard? Throw brightly colored letters at them. They will confuse and slow down your average retard since they cannot read and the colors will gain their full attention. This is obviously a joke so don't take it seriously. XD

  • @WRK004 LMAO!!!!

  • I'm sorry but I freaken love it, and always will. Superman, fortress, gagets. Yes, please.

  • cant believe that really happened

  • GOOD GAWD WILL EVERYONE STOP REFERENCING FAMILY GUY JUST FOR ONE MONTH?!

  • PWNED by an "S"!

  • LMAOOOO wtf was that thing?! haha (also watching b/c of Family guy on now)

  • Yeah take that you jerk

  • getting punked wih a doggone fruit roll up!

  • greatest superman spare S frisbee use OF ALL TIME!

  • thumbs up if your watching this because of superman 2

  • i look tiz up because of family guy wtf is tiz i never seen superman do tiz it not a fight move

  • What a minor inconvenience.

  • You know it would be funny if Superman did that in JL or JLU or something superhero cartoon he's in.

  • That was a minor inconvenience

  • complete lack of creativity.

  • T16Akatsuki is right, I just paused Family Guy Season 4 Episode 5, The Cleceland-Loretta-Quagmire to come and watch this

  • "Take that cellophane, bitch"

"Seriously? You have the power of the gods and your first reactio is to throw a plastic cellophane at him?"

  • NARCISSISTIC ATTACK!!!

  • SENSE.

    This video makes none.

  • its a wrap, superman is amazing!..

  • That's how Superman wraps his sandwiches - SUPER SANDWICHES!!!

  • why can he even do this?

what the fuck is going on?

  • @eobb1 I was wondering that myself...It was one of those interesting, but off the wall powers along with the short range Teleport, General Zod's Telekinesis, Time travel, and the 'Rebuild-the-Great-Wall of-China Vision' lol

  • @axel4196 Totally, the Great Wall of China scene always had me scratching my head...

  • @pufferfishish Ditto. say, what did you think of Superman Returns? I think Supes could have faced a more fearsome enemy.... Brandon Routh seemed to fit the role pretty well, yet he's already being replaced by someone else for the next Superman movie.

  • @axel4196 Yep, I liked him in that role; I thought that film was badly let down by the choice of Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. For me, Margot Kidder was the best Lois Lane (considering the George Reeves version of Superman, as well as Teri Hatcher in 'Lois And Clark').

  • @pufferfishish LOL tell me about it. Kate's version of LL was rather mediocre..So, who would you have chosen for an enemy in Superman Returns? When they threw Luthor in there, I was hoping he'd be wearing his power armor. My pick would have been Mongul (bronze age version) or Brainiac.

  • @axel4196 Good call on Brainiac. I'd say either Brainiac or Bizarro might be interesting. I can't help but think that Lex Luthor was chosen as the villain for Superman Returns because it was the first film after a long hiatus and possibly a way of introducing in a way the Superman legacy to a new generation would be to have a villain who wasn't quite as 'colourful' as ones they could introduce as the series progressed.

  • @axel4196 The "short-range Teleport" as you call it was just a super speed effect made to appear faster than the naked eye. It's the only thing that makes sense. The only one that doesn't is the holograms and statue.

  • @davincent98 Hmmm, makes sense. I imagine super speed would seem like teleport to the unaided eye. Ok then, riddle me this...How did Supes keep Lacy Warfield alive in outer space (with NO visible life support) in Superman 4? I just marvel at all the 'Hollywood powers' he seems to acquire in these damn movies. Ugh.

  • @axel4196 bad writing. Which also explains how Lacy was afraid of falling off Nuclear Man when Superman pushed the Moon to block the sun, thereby blocking his powers. I even noticed that when I was six because I love space stuff even if it is dumb.

  • "That was a minor inconvenience."

  • Yeah, take that you jerk.

  • Oh my god, I didn't believe this really happened lol

  • Thubms up if you are watching this because of Family Guy :)

  • the fuckk... ?!

  • ....that was a mild inconveniance or him.

  • thumbs up if family guy sent you here

  • ...what?

  • no it was a hologram just like when he makes holograms of himself after.....

  • @farimir120 Holograms can't actually knock someone backwards...they're just projected images of something. You know, like the image of Cortana in Halo...

  • that was a minor inconvenience.

  • Since when does Supes have super-logo powers?

  • actually it was a hologram=]

  • @farimir120 no it wasn't, it was a lame ass last min script write in

  • That was a minor inconvenience

  • @Jurambi yeah slowed you down

  • @Chrisindapurplehouse Lol, I know right?

  • @Jurambi That's the idea. Slowed you down.

  • "Hay what happens if I just rip off my S and throw it like a frisbee?....well now I know I wont do it again"

  • We must combine our strength.

Because sandwich wrap is that powerful.

  • Yes Lois, you are quite correct to gasp!

  • Okay... So, we have kryptonite, red sun radiation, magic... now we can add Saran Wrap to the list.

  • well that was a minor inconvience

  • i think superman got the idea from batman

batman also uses his symbol as a throwing weapon (the batarang)

  • that was a minor inconvenience lol

  • Batman's got his Bat-credit card, so why not?

  • Family Guy sent me here....lol.

  • Yeah, this, uh.. this doesn't make any sense.

  • Imagine if he had a superman condom...

  • I want one

  • That was a minor inconvenience.

  • The fuck? His logo is like a disposable towel!

  • Funny I watched both this movie and the FG episode that referenced it in the same day on TV

  • Really? He can fire fire a lazer out his eyes and he uses an S?!?!

  • @CharmieKid Why instantly vaporize and kill him, when you can just minorly inconvenience him?

  • @guitayrplaya That is the code of the comic book villain. Never try to win, ALWAYS make it easier for your enemy!

  • @CharmieKid In all fairness, his heat vision is not an advantage against Non, because he has heat vision as well.

  • @MasterMacLeod That's like saying super strength won't help you fight someone with super strength.

  • @MrThePandaman It won't necessarily do the trick. How did it help Supes when he fought Doomsday? He got himself killed while killing it.

  • @MasterMacLeod Without those he wouldn't have been able to put up a fight at all.

  • @MrThePandaman Of course, he would have been at disadvantage, with them he's even, not at advantage!

  • Respond to this video... That's the point!

  • @MasterMacLeod

if superman hasn't had heat vision, then non could use his heat vision lol, all helps.

  • S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Richard Lester did that for the LULZ... there's no other logical explanation.

  • This is by far the funniest thing I've seen since... David Spade's acting career.

  • the only reason anyone watched this is because of family guy

  • @T16Akatsuki YES! lmao... when i saw this when i was a kid i was like WTF is that then Family game made a joke about and i had to see it again... LMAO!!!

  • Well that was a minor inconvenience. lol

  • Kryptonian holographic technology is far in advance of anything humans had in 1980.

The fortress of solitude has solid light projectors, the big S was a hologram.

That's the best I can do.

  • I can imagine the fans seeing this in the theater standing up at once going "THE FUCK WAS THAT?!"

  • @uthertheking Actually I remember watching this in the theater and no one said anything. This was 1981, A saranwrap S thrown at a villian was nothing to be evaluated.

  • What the fuck was that?

  • One of the strangest scenes in movie history.

  • That was a minor inconvenience.

  • 0:07 she's like... i can't believe that's all you do

  • Superman's greatest ability: throwing plastic S's at people

  • Some sort of miniature Phantom Zone?

  • @Dristarg Maybe a Phantom "S"one!!! XD

  • IN superman two what is the story behind that cellophane s that superman throws at the enemy?

  • LOL Made more sense than the "brick vision" in Superman 4 XD

  • @Dragonrider1227 I totally forgot about that one until you reminded me LOL what the hell were they thinking?

  • OMG...HE ALMOST DIED! lol XD

  • I guess it was a non-lethal deterrent of sorts? GG director, GG... No Rematch.

  • Cellophane, made in China.

  • damn...i actually hoped family guy exaggerated this scene...pathetic, superman

  • Family guy.

  • God bless the clean up of the Richard Donner Cut.

  • @RidingTheSky

I take it the Richard Donner cut didn't have this crap?

  • @Xerock Richard Donner's Cut replaced the most of the footage of the theatrical release with the footage that Donner shot before he was removed from it, the only remaining footage being what was necessary for continuity. It's tone is darker, with more drama and less of the lame uneven comedy inserted. It also removed the cellophane S and the memory erasing kiss (replaced with the reverse orbit time travel again unfortunately, but it was the lesser of 2 evils). I highly recomend it over this cut.

  • @RidingTheSky

Sounds mostly ok, but I friggin' hated that spin around the earth shit.

  • Lester really takes a walk off the map in Superman 3.

  • Really, Superman? Cellophane? That's what came to your mind first? Cellophane? god...

  • ugh.... DAMN YOU RICHARD LESTER!!!!

  • My Superman T-Shirt doesn't do that shit, man

  • this is why I loved the Donner edition. no cellophane S, no finger lasers and Non was not a window licker in it.

  • Huh. That was mildly inconvenient.

  • The scene worked better in the Richard Donner cut, with no actual fight in the Fortress of Solitude, just Superman outwitting them. This was just kind of hokey.

  • Superman 2 and 4 showed some unusually Superpowers displayed by Superman

  • @blackrock316 There was a fourth Superman movie?

  • @JustPhilNY type in superman 4 quest for peace in youtube

  • @blackrock316 I did, couldn't find anything, only some really poorly made high school videos that clearly could not be a Superman movie. I mean, what director would honestly make a villain that sports a mullet and wears lee press-on nails?

  • @JustPhilNY type in Nuclear Man vs Superman, it should give u parts of the flims from Superman 4, Nuclear Man has long nails

  • @blackrock316 I did, and that is so clearly NOT a Superman movie. No studio would ever make a Superman movie that horrible.

  • @JustPhilNY yeah see why they had to make Superman returns, the Superman returns follows after superman 2, it ignores what happen in 3 and 4

  • @blackrock316 Yeah, I was messing with you. That movie is just as bad as...

A BAT CREDIT CARD!!! *shoots things*

  • Certainly one of the oddest Superman "powers".

  • What... What in the hell... This is almost worse than Bat Shark Repellant. Almost.

  • Slowed you down....Jerk!

  • That was the biggest fruit roll-up I've ever seen.

  • oh fuck, who wrote this?

  • @ironcolossus4 this is clearly a Lester scene.

  • @msmithstud Which is why I am glad they brought out the Donner Cut

  • Man , I freaken loved that when I was a kid.

  • Keeps freshness in, can't keep Superman out.

  • Bet ya did'nt see that comeing did ya? yeah well take that you jerk.

  • wat did the S does to him? i never got it!

  • Ahahahaha the top two rated comments are the same qoute from the family guy sketch XD I so predicted it.

  • yeah bet you weren't especting that

  • What the hell was that?

  • Obviously it wasn't cellophane if it knocked one of Zod's minions back. Cool scene.

  • Even as a kid I thought that was stupid? I mean what the hell did it do to him?

  • S for Slow Down!

  • thats not ridiculous at all

  • "......Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings with a single bound... oh ya and created a cellophane 'S' from his chest"

  • he threw a fruit roll up at him

  • They gave superman some well random powers in these films, the worst has to be in superman 4 when they gave him masonry vision to rebuild the great wall of chine.

  • Seriously that was random, something batman would pull not superman

  • um wtf is this? this should have been a deleted scene!

  • It's his super fruit roll-up

  • Why give Superman the worst power?

  • wow 2 people say the exact same thing but one gets more points than the other ...interesting.

  • @HelloFade2 ha i think its the "... ow..." at the end that did it in for the second one

  • Since when does the flash have an S on his chest?

  • who was high enough to come up with this idea. is it even from the comics? i never heard of one of his powers being that he can take off his S and throw it at people

  • The original director had a falling out with the producers during production and they got a new director who was neither familiar with nor interested in the character. For glitz he added a bunch of new abilities that was not in any way associated with standard Kryptonians

  • I wish people would stop quotin' Family Guy all the time x:

  • The "S" stands for Saran Wrap.

  • 0:04

    "TAKE THAT NON!!!"

    lol

  • YAYYY Superman the magician....whoooooo

  • i think he threw a fruit roll up at him

  • Always wondered what the fuck that was.

  • "Yeah, take that!"

  • that stopped him in his tracks

  • wow, that was a minor inconvinience

  • @Glew1992 LMFAO!!!!!!!!! family rocks!!!

  • @KoRnDuDe19886 haha, kicks sooo much ass...i love quoting

  • @Glew1992 HAHA yeah, so i see ; )

  • @Glew1992

    Lol Family guy..HHAHAH

  • @Glew1992 yea well, thats the idea! slowed you down!

  • @Glew1992 hahaha made me laugh so much

  • @Glew1992 yeahh!! take that, you jerk.

  • @Glew1992 Yeah, well that's the idea. Slowed you down.
