C36 Start

@s84128s bin damals somit 11-12l super+ gefahren. Nebenkosten wenn man seinen Service selbst machen kann gehts. Aber wenn man zum :) fährt wird schon deutlich teuerer als ein normaler C180. Manche Sachen kosten doppelt soviel. Von den 19 Zoll Reifen ganz zu schweigen.

i got a C36 AMG in showroom condition it took me years to find one but mines a 5.4 litre V8 which one is better the 3.6 litre or the 4.3?

@rockolutheran what is the VIN? Doesn't sound like you have a C36, unless someone removed the sweet M104 AMG and dropped in a 5.4L V8. 4.2L V8 is lighter and has a little bit more power than the 3.6L, but the 3.6L is considered the last "AMG" in most circles.

i drove with round about 12l/100km, never below 9,5, but up to 20 :) Super Plus.. 98 octance or 100octane

great car! i need your oppinion, Schlack30. Could i mount a 36amg engine in my c180 esprit 95.? and could i leave the manual transmission and the original chassis? i reckon that i should change the tires (to about 235/55 r16)

i think you need to change a lot things more. if you own a garage and much time, then it is a project. otherwise.. i would buy a ready C36.

you can put it in dude the c36 engine is a 3,6 liter engine so the c180 dosnt have enough space for the engine and the transmission is too little for a c36 engine so youll have alot to do but i wish you good luck =)

just saw your comment. your c180 is pre-faceliftit, you need to change all electrical equipment. i have a c180 esprit "00 and when i asked a mechanic for the change told me that

There is also a c36 Version from Carlson or Brabus, not sure, this is with classic transmission and clutch. But i think AMG decide to use automatic because of the 385Nm tourqe is better handled by a Automatic. Same for the new BMW M5, its only orderable with Automatic. From the old M5 the clutches often break

You can order the E60 M5 in the USA with a manual transmision ;-) 6 speed

M5 7 speed SMG is not automatic based, it has a flywheel and clutch though 535D has automatic as Bm's manuel boxes cant take it's torque

Very nice car, understatement, and good for relaxed driving but also for a fast "autobahn" ride .. Disadvantage: consums a lot of "Super Plus" in Germany (1,50 € and more a liter) too much for some. Now i drive tuned TDI, not so fast, but with 6 liter Diesel much more cheaper and 150 HP TDI in a Golf III is also fun ;)
