@PatriotSoldier21 You are looking at approximately 2qts of IG and one Gallon of UG + reinforcement cloth. You may be able to get away with one quart of IG - but I think you are going to need more. Be sure to follow the below instructions we outlined about a week ago. Put the IG on as thin as possible as this sets everything up to receive the UG - I hope this helps!
I had a question, are you guys based out of the US or Canada? Im trying to find where i want to get Liquid rubber from and I was just curios about where you were based out of. I live up in Alaska is why I ask, some times finding things up here is impossible and have to order from out of state.
@AllAlaskan907 Hello! - we are based out of the US and have regional distribution centers. If we ship to AK - it would ship out of our Seattle center. We do not charge for standard UPS ground delivery within the contiguous US - for AK - we would charge a little extra depending on the material (size & qty) you order. I hope this helps!
Everyone, we recommend the following method for waterproofing your plywood aquarium:
1) Primer coat of Rubberizeit! IG - applied very thin. The IG is a thinner version of Liquid Rubber that works very well to prime the tank
2) 3-4 coats of Rubberizeit! UG - this is our thicker version that builds much quicker than IG. It applies an average of 17mils - of course this is "rule of thumb".
Wait 24 hours between coats and 4-7 days (minimum) after final coat before filling so rubber can cure.
@Rubberizeit Ok I was just wondering, I was told I would need atleast 1/2 inch or thicker for a tank smaller then this one so it just had me wondering.
@vulcanrider900 Absolutely salt water (NaCl in saturated state) safe. Please see our chemical resistance chart on the site under the Specifications page
how many gallons of rubberizeit would u say for a plywood aquarium with the dimensions of 96 x 36 x 24. minus the front panel and a side panel.

Is 3/8 glass really thick enough for that much pressure?!

@AllAlaskan907 This was a build from one of our customers. It appears to work for his application.

@AllAlaskan907 I have heard that a lot of the glass sizing has to do with the height of the glass... But I am no expert that's for sure!
