before you know it paddling a kayak will be a thing of the past. Seems everyone are rigging them them with trolling motors, or weed eater motor with a prop. Next will be a gas 5 h.p. motor with built-in fuel tank, after that a 40 h.p. jet sky type motor & front & rear live wells and 500 pounds more weight so you will need a trailer to unload it at the boat ramp.
No kayak is perfect. When you find one, let me know. What about flotation? What about warranty? Let's just say a problem comes up, like with the x-factor. Does Malibu stand behind it? Once again, there is no perfect kayak. Just get one and go fishing.
@AndrewCarey3 - It IS the best for me, & that is all that matters.
I did initially consider adding the x-wing, but would've added more weight, & I felt for the convenience/trade-off wasn't worth it + had concerns about it getting in the way, especially upon re-entry if the yak gets flipped (albeit unlikely).
As far as steering, you use the pedals, just like you would on Ocean Kayak's Torque. Much more intuitive than a dial between your legs like the Torqeedo has.
It was shipping that day and we were under the gun to get it wrapped up before the freight company arrived. It was in the water a couple days earlier.
