I don't if anybody else knows but the auxillary tender that 2816 pulls is actually a tender off of a Deleware and Hudson Challenger (#1352 I think) It's the only other piece of a challenger locomotive that survives that is not a UP locomotive.
in manitoba? thats where i live!!! lol i like the dash 9 in the middle between the cars and the steam engine but it's ok even the BIG Great steams may need a little help............. i think.....
Great video! Where is that crossing at in town?-looks like some nice old WRRS signals. I had to miss this because I was moving from Stoughton to Green Bay this day and passed over this line several hours too early.
Thanks for the comment. This is at the County P crossing just south of Portage. Moving to Green Bay ... well, I'm looking forward to see your videos from that part of the state. Good luck up there.

Nope, this is in Wisconsin. It's on the SOO. However, they did go through Portage la Prairie, MB on this trip.

The diesel behind the steamer was a GP38-2, not a dash 9 anything.
Excellent video!

Nothin beats Canadian Steam, whether it be the 2816,2860,6060,or Old No.3 in Manitoba, check pdcrailway dot com to see

Certainly very fine machines, especially No.3!
Even if she's an "American" type :) :)

That's not a royal hudson. Royal Hudson's have streamlining but nice video anyway.

Thanks for pointing this out. I was not aware of the streamlining distinction. Guess I have to change the title....

Well all Hudson engines to my knowledge are designated as Royal by decree, I think the Hudson people think of most is the 2860.
