  • Great job.

I've been thinking for a while that I might make a stop-motion manikin video, but the amount of works seems steep - so I'm happy to watch your video :)

  • that was excellent!

  • Very good !

  • i have a request for murphdog001: PLEASE could you make a claymation video? cos i am quite ruff when it comes to clay mation and i work with animator dv simple + so i can't do much please! you are really good at making smooth stop motion and i would like to see if you are better than mamshmam you should watch a few of his vids to get ideas also he has a tut on making clay figures or plasticine figures.

  • Very good, I like the camera angle cuts. NIce and smooth.

  • that would take a while (I tried it!)... use a camera or use the camera setting on a camcorder (what I use)

  • About how many photos did it take to make this?

  • a little over 100. some are repeated during editing (for pauses, repeats, etc..)

  • Wow! alot less than I thought....is it possible to use a tripod and make a stop motion with regular video editing software just editing the length of each picture to make it a fluid motion?

  • yes it is only windows movie maker. just if you cant find a tutorial [but you should be able to] message me and ill make a video tutorial.

  • Oh , I don't need a tutorial I was just making sure there wasn't certain software meant for stop motion videos.

  • wow! only a 100 at least? where you filming at 2 fps or something! PLEASE tell me how you do that please

  • that might have been conservative estimate... I use a lot of repeat frame for pauses in the action, dialogue, etc. my later videos are longer and took several weeks to animate (at least).

  • oh i see thanx for reply cos ur like famous on youtube! you rock!

  • did a kid do dis

  • Holy crap, that is really well done!

  • Super

  • that was freakin awesome!! looks really professional! should be very proud!

  • uuuuhhh....

    smooth moves!

    respect!

  • Very, very impressive! I aspire to your level.

  • This is perfection takes lots of practice to amke it so smooth

  • This was very good!

Could you PLEASE help me I just bought an art mannequin and I CANNOT remove the stand...? Did you do it easily? Or did it involve some juicy secret?

  • Very entertaining!

  • Fantastic.. I have the same Mannequin, so might do one of my own to join in with the rest!

    Will

  • Now THAT was a great video! WOW!

I created a video response to your GI Joe video, but... You're work blows anything i'll ever create away! Simply outstanding.

Maybe I should just stick to create flight videos? lol

  • Thats was cool!, Nice Editing, Compsing and great screenplay. Your hardwork really payedwell. Best of luck for all your future projects.

  • Excellent work. Very smooth animation. Good luck with future work. Animators of the world unite!

  • How come minds responds to stop-frame and wooden doll the same way. Must be culturally hardwired thought processes.Overcoming the metal spike? You did this really well. ...I was going to render a complete scene in B&W. I started film making in Bradford, so maybe there's something in Yorkshire water? Love the film.

  • Thanks. Liked your stuff as well - keep it up. It's funny how movements tend to be the same... This mannequin makes a pretty good armature without having to drop a couple of hundred for a metal one.

  • Last time was Super-8 and a week's wait for the film to come back....only to realise you'd gleft the exposure on auto and so had to be done again.. Not super at all!

  • Mini DV Camcorder, iStopmotion (with onion skinning), Final Cut Pro (Express) - only way to go!

  • Sounds good. Setting a 2 frame clip length to stills in iMovie is a bit tedious. I'll check out your reccomendations. Thanks.
