Hello friend, have a very nice sound. Congratulations! Great guitar, cherish very much. If you talk a bit about your experience with this guitar would be interesting to read your opinion, for me is better than a jackson soloist ... Greetings and sorry for my English ...
Man I tell you no lie... The first thing I do everyday when I start my computer is go to you tube and go straight under my favorites and play your song. Basically it starts my day. So Thank you for this great piece of music. I love how you just make your Guitar sing and it expresses such passion. It's an inspiration to me.
Wie is dit eigenlijk?? Hij is werkelijk TE GEK VOOR WOORDEN. Waarom laat hij zijn gezicht niet zien. Deze man kan wereld beroemd worden als hij dat wilt. Great, great solo guitar. I love it. I can listen to this music all day. hmmmmm
Funny to see how everyone approaches this bt in another way. Between your version and mine is a certain simularity. Mine has a totally different feel though.
hi there ! nice playing man really soft and nice, i just buaght a guitar myself and trying to learn :)! Im just wondering, how do you make our guitar put out so good noice? tried with my AMP. Cube30x but no luck of getting sound like that. Am doing something wrong?
Hum, that's a very tough question. It depends on a lot of factors. The type of wood of the guitar, the pickups, the amp, the settings you dial in, and your playing technique itself.
Another guitarist could use my guitar, my gear, my settings and everything, and still sound nothing like me.
Thanks... I've actually been trying to sell that guitar for months now. It's a good guitar, but I have plenty other good guitars already, so this one doesn't get played much. It deserves a new home with an owner who will play it regularly.
It's just that nobody seems interested, I suspect it's because it's a Yamaha, rather than a more popular brand name.
well, all i know is that yamahas have been of great quality and reliability for lots of years now so being a yamaha is not a negative thing, its just because people want to hear about gibsons or fenders which admittedly have been lacking build quality for some time now...
Certainly. This guitar can hold its own amongst my Ibanez and Gibson guitars. It's just that most people don't believe that.
I guess this video is proof of how good the guitar is. I can play it fast and effortlessly, it doesn't go out of tune at all, despite the bends and tremolo use, it has a tight, well-defined sound and a nice tone with long singing sustain to boot. It even looks great too.
Five stars man! Excellent technique and feeling. Shredders sometimes forget that speed comes at the price and loose the expression just for the sake of the fast playing. Fortunately it's not the case here.
Evan it's harder, in some segments , remind me on Knoffer ! Beautifull soloing !

beautiful sound...which yamaha model is that?

All I know is that it says "RGX Standard" on the headstock, and "Made in Taiwan" on the back.
I think it's made in 1989.

I was just wondering if you would be kind enough to tell me what scales you used to solo over this (Pentatonic/Major/Minor). Thanx
bobsmurf93 2 years ago
It's all based around minor (diatonic modes). D minor if I'm not mistaken.
I use a combination of the natural minor and pentatonic scales, including blue notes, and occassionally some chromatics.
