  • the song that begins around 2.40. does anyone have the title and artists for it.... pleeeaaase!

  • The volume is terribly low!

  • never realized that the scientist also had chaotic personal lives.

  • The audio is so low :/

  • Why did the volume drop from # 1 episode?

  • 8 people are absolute idiots.

  • Religions have finite reasoning capacity and are based on man's attempt to explain the mysteries of the world in primitive times. They became power/political/financial greed institutions so they stopped evolving but mans common sense, reasoning abilities and imagination expanded with our evolution.

If religions had any basis other than greed they would have invented space ships not wasted time on beheadings and billion $ churches.

  • I am amazed at how these guys conflate and equate the HOW of things with WHY of things. Scientists do not discover the why of things, do they>? But extend our view into how things work. We know now that nature is highly complex series of properties, elements, and chemical interactions. That doesnt mean we understand why of it.

As opposed to say,..there not being anything at all.

Like the universe before we entered it.

  • @winston2015 On that note it should be pointed out that while religion gives an answer to the why questions, they are intellectually bankrupt. Furthermore answering how can often times answer why, like if I ask why does the sun come up, and tell you how, it answers why. All that aside I much prefer the answers given in science, to the ones given by theologians, they may be incomplete but they are always getting better.

  • totally can. effervescence.

    they didn't explain this right.

  • definately Philip Glass playing.

  • yes, twit, the whole world has it wrong, you're the only one that is right. get better headphones, wadda fkn pinhead.

  • Can't hear crap even with very good headphones. Thumbs down.

  • @barto11000

    Protip: get better headphones.

  • i hear it just fine.

but then.. i do kinda own... yea...

  • Another half-assed youtube video... Not only it is windowboxed, but also the audio sucks donkey balls! I mean, didn't the uploader check the video after he uploaded it? And if he did, doesn't he give a shit about the audio? Well, I guess that's one of life's mysteries mankind will never learn...

  • cant hear ~_~

  • can't hear nothing

  • @smkipus u can use earphones or headphones, and then u can hear it quite well.

  • sound is slow ?

  • Very sad hearing that Turing had been the victim of a miscarriage of justice.

I get the impression Turing could have gone on to make many more important comtributions to Science.

  • @sekwah09

That's what happens when silly religious bigots get to be in power without question or the restriction of constitutional protection.

  • Gosh, I thought my old age has finally caught up with me because I couldn't hear anything!

  • cant hear

  • The music is mostly by composer Philip Glass I believe.

  • Great documentary... Can anyonw tell me What is the music around 2:50 ?

  • too quiet!

  • fucken brits take so long to say something so damn simple... keep your opinion out of it, keep your history to yourself, i just want chaos theory i dont want your stupid homosexual tragedy

  • @lFlash4

You sound like an ignorant asshole.

  • @causmosis i take that as one of the highest compliments. You called me an asshole because im not agreeing with the format BBC makes documentaries in and ignorant because you have failed to grasp why i have said so. Instead you've attempted to emotionally hurt me showing your own ignorance. If you cant see that this is more history and drama than it is science than you're just another synthetic vote bot incapable of active thinking.

  • @lFlash4

Actually, I was commenting upon your blatant bigotry and prejudices against Brits and gays.

These two lines are simply your immature, uncontrolled angry emotions and prejudices lashing out.

"fucken brits take so long to say something so damn simple"

"i dont want your stupid homosexual tragedy "

It's not "YOUR stupid homosexual great tragedy", it's OUR tragedy as a part of a society that allowed such a brilliant man who contributed so much, to be treated so horrifically.

  • @causmosis I'm not prejudiced, im just cutting behind the knees; because they took so long in this documentary to say a couple things.

  • @lFlash4 You may be right flash, but you expressed that opinion surrounded by homosexual bigotry and anti-British racism.

Incidentally, you're not right. The history is important. You could google the chaos theory and get a basic idea of what it is. With this documentary you get an idea of what effects it had on the world and how it fits into the scientific landscape of its time.

  • @bahramf maybe i was pretty pissed at the time, although im not gonna stick to my guns about calling the brits stupid and how they shouldn't care about homosexuals in my current state; I do still think that the documentary is less than it should be in its current form and could use a lot more theory and a lot less history. I know it's my opinion and im sorry if i offended you or anybody else during my previous comments but i figured the sake of documentaries were to be educational. not media.

  • @lFlash4 I tend to watch documentaries because i learn better from them, and i realize that that sounds more like a personal problem but I believe that documentaries should almost be like a visual Wikipedia.

And im sorry again about attacking the British, i should have attacked the BBC. There documentaries have slowly become less and less educational with the passage of time. Sorry again brother, i didn't mean any harm.

  • @lFlash4 hey i really respect you for manning up and taking stuff back. dont see that enough here, and we all could learn something from ya. :)

  • @lFlash4

Not caring about the history and stories surrounding the science is to lack a true appreciation for it, and the people who made it possible for us to even get this far.

  • @causmosis NO, because i care how shit works, not how shit happened.

  • Why block embed? Information should be as open as possible!

  • If it happens... Its normal.... If It doesn't happen, it could still become normal in time. Ace :D

  • lol. dumbasses. we'll see.

  • why soo quiet?

  • DNIW

  • what were these "chemicals"????

  • @gpdeserteagle0023 Find out about the 'BZ solution' on wikipedia

  • @gpdeserteagle0023 do some research on * Millers experiment* and how he created life out of those chemicals, and youll know what they are.,

  • I wish people would live and let live. We should all stand up against the bigots and stop anyone who persecutes anyone. We all to often follow like sheep and hurt people.

  • why is the sound so quiet ? Does anyone else have this problem?

  • @mittens50 - Best to keep it quiet, it upsets the creationists. ;-)

  • Again, the insane cost to humanity of homophobia.

  • @blazak what could be more normal than 2 guys fucking each other in the ass?....indeed.

  • @alexhamster1134 People used to think that inter-racial sex was not "normal." Grow up, little bigot.

  • @blazak and in some ways its not. people like to stick to their own kind, its only natural.

  • @alexhamster1134 What's not normal about it?

    Penis goes in hole.

    Ass has hole.

    Penis goes in ass hole.

The normality of homosexuality is really dependent on your upbringing, and what time period you live in, which is really sad because it's just human nature.

Example: Do you think if two cavemen wanted to fuck eachother, they stopped and said "NO DIS GAY"? Of course not.

The romans and greeks had tons of gay sex.

For a while, it was weird, and now, it's becoming more accepted.

    Yay progress.

  • @SeaShellNecklaceBrah it's *still* weird... its only being accepted because its illegal to say anything about it.

  • is this a bit quietier?

  • @olliemad Yep.

  • good video...but quality sucks so I gave it a bad vote. try those from atheistplanet2 - is the same video with way better quality! ;)

  • @o0smd0o - thanks for the tip. Like you said, way better quality.

  • How much I hate people who kills others for being themselves, How "Ugly" people, trash people with power kill the others for the religions, brainwashed by the most stupid, superficial, and nasty "theories". Fuck you Pope, Fuck you Armies, Fuck you Trash People with nothing but bad things to show against others, Fuck people that destroy the Human Legacy, the Jewels of the Humanity.Sorry Turing,I love you and all the smart & Spiritual people who brought light to this darkness.THank you TURING<3

  • @niswel That's it........that's it........let it all out......u're not alone, I see a lot of this on YT. Now please keep in mind that the therapeutic YT couch is always here for ya. The first session is complimentary but any further sessions you may require there's a standard fee of $100 ;-)

  • @niswel

If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything.

  • Actually it is very questionable that "he likes men".

It was very strange suicide, just after cracking new secret governments code (big shock for intelligence forces).

There were a lot of questions from public regarding Turings suicide.

And it was very handy to say that he liked men to make people to stop talking about him.

Otherwise next questions would be is it suicide? Or murder?.

  • @DukeNukem2k - I must admit, it was a tidy little suicide, though to be fair, most genius's are really just two tics away from some kind of lunacy or another. Newton was a crackpot, Van Goch... so many. You could even interpret Einsteins death as a suicide, he was offered an operation which could of prevented his death which he refused. Unfortunately we have no real choice but to accept the record of events. Perhaps in ordinary situations the story of his suicide might not of surfaced.

  • @DukeNukem2k well it sounds like a true story, it doesnt suprise me in the least : monotheistic religions are absolutely homophobic, and the judge that sentenced Turing must of been a devout christian scandalized by the educated homosexual that had the nerve to accuse his lover of burglary. But how on earth british justice was administering female hormones to free men of homosexuality? Was this a kind of Joseph Mengele (nazi doctor) type of british experimentation on humans?

  • What's with the volume on this one?

  • Yeah, I was already in bed, damn you uploader (Thank though).

  • We lost a great mind just because he likes men?

    :C

  • Yup.

The icon that Apple uses (of an apple with a bite taken out of it) is a homage to the poison apple Turing took his life with.

  • @manchester26m really??

  • @manchester26m Not actually true, but I'd respect them a lot if it were.

  • wow, where does that zebra clip come from?!

  • Fairly sure it comes from Planet Earth. They went through great pains to get all of that footage, and will be using it for quite some time.

  • @yogurtking Africa.
