Congrats on getting a Chihuahua! They are great little dogs.

Tips - it's great to socialize them w/ other people but instruct everyone NOT to pet their heads or neck, just pet their backs.

Chihuahuas are predisposed to neck fractures & people (esp. kids) pet too hard.

The black Chi (Gino) had his neck fractured due to a vet's carelessness. We miss him so much. (see "Please Pray for a miracle for puppy Gino" video).

Chi's are delicate doggies; not for kids. They are such great dogs!

I love your video. I have three chihuahua's. One's name is Chilli Pepper also. I try to dress them too, but it doesn't always work out. I found a pillow a few years ago that says "Santa, I've been a good dog" and put it in front of Bubba, who weighs 15 pounds. That saying is opposite on how he acts. Good video......

Our little girl Chili Pepper had puppies with our friends Chihuahua and we kept 3 pups & gave 1 to my mom (the all white one). Then we adopted Selma (the short-haired brown one). That's how we have so many.

Yeah, she was a rescue doggy & seemed to really like taking pictures, loved the attention, & even the temporary outfits - BUT did NOT like her nails cut.

So we cut 1 nail every couple days so she wouldn't freak out too much.

If you notice, by the time she is "Mafia Moe" her nails are short.

Hehe, I tend to do the same with my chihuahuas. They are often notorious for hating their nails being clipped. Your dogs are gorgeous BTW.

Thank you, we feel lucky. We've had Chili Pepper for over 10 yrs now (she is the one in the middle w/ the Christmas dress on). The rest of the babies are over 5 yrs old. They still look like puppies to us though.
