It's Saturday, I purposely didn't plan to do anything today because I have a Psychology exam in one week, woke up early, rearing to revise and then... I ended up watching Aaron and Jackson for six hours D: helloooooo fail.
@2:54 Aaron just look extremely HOT, his sweet face is just ADORABLE, OH GOSH he is GORGEOUS <:
Paddy: when you're back?! Aaron: Maybe never LOL, im sorry but I just have to love his attitude, it make him even HOTTER + He is sparkly eyes @10:34 I LOVEYOUHAARON <3
@tul0quita I am right there with you! Don`t we all love the "bad" boys most! He is just tooo sexy with his bad boy attitude while deep down he is just sensible, loving, caring, and HOOOOOOOOOOOt!
Hi, can you help me again? In the video: (253) & Aaron Jackson - 7th December 2010 (8pm). As to jackson aaron is in hospital. I would love to understand what the two talk.
He's says but I legged it coz all I wanted was you, he says the exact same thing on the one recently when they back togefer about Flynn:L awww this was so cuteeee:))))))xxxxxx
Hazel, you're breaking my heart! And this is such a difficult call/transition for Aaron. He was never, ever looking for the love of his life. He's young and was just wanting to go with the flow. The accident forced his hand into a much more involved situation with Jackson, but I don't think he ever really wanted it had the accident not happened - I think a lot of it is still tied up in guilt (and of course friendship)
@DistantCousin You touch on an interesting point about Aaron. If you look at the accident clip, he totally freaks when Jackson breaks it off with him - hence the anguished "You've got me." And that desperate phone call. My reading of it is that Aaron does love Jackson but can't risk saying those words because he's been hurt so badly throughout his life. Of course, he does need a social worker more than a boyfriend. :)
That's really hard.... He wants to be there for him.... But it is going to be hard...... Wow!! Nicely done.... I like the tears..... Wow!!!!! It is going to be hard......
OMG, so phenomenal acting and writing can exist in a soap opera! Of course this is what you expect to happen, but this time it's not about "twists" or "surprising the audience", it's just good old fashioned execution of the delivery of the story (via acting, writing, directing, etc.).
this is just so awesome to see that azz is willing to stand by his boy and not walk away , i so hope that the people who are watching this will learn some good values and to remember that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.happyness and having some to love and be loved back is the most important thing in the world , everythings else, Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own .

I was reading in the paper a couple of weeks ago about a young guy who was in a similar accident to Jackson. He got feeling back in his arms after a while. His girlfriend wanted to have a baby with him and when she thought it was impossible, he said "It still works down there!"
So, the writers could, realistically, give him some feeling back and suggest a "sex life" for our lads, couldn't they?
Aaron and Jackson back together: stay that way, pleeeaase!
@Boslthrman I would have loved that ending! But this is a British soap. My British partner would probably say that level of emotional and affectionate display is unrealistic in the UK -- but not in America. :)
@sobelius True, that. :) I was in London for the first time in March and watched three eps of Emmerdale and thought it the most boring show ever. Boy did I ever tune in on the wrong days LOL
@Boslthrman i totally skimmed over the first few lines of that, thought it was real, watch the clip and was bitterly disappointed....lol. definitely a better ending, lol
The screenwriters can learn something from you! I thought the exact same thing.. They could have shown so much of themselves in that scene! I absolutely love the casting, they fit sooo perfectly well together, but I just feel like the writers don't give them enough of a chance to show that.
@Boslthrman Wow, this seriously gave me the chills. I couldn't have written it better myself. Even alone in a hospital room with their relationship on the line, the writers won't let them be intimate. I was waiting the whole time Jackson was in the hospital for Aaron to lie down beside him in the bed.
@mlorocker Thank you. I agree with you completely - Aaron should have taken that step and comforted Jackson as only he could, with simple closeness. Sadly, the writers seem to be afraid of scaring their audience.
@dutchnukelover In a way, yes, because I suspect Nick was just after a one night stand, and after that Aaron would have realised what a decent bloke he has in Jackson,. I doubt he would have been as patient & tolerant to A, But on the other level, as he is still uneasy abt being gay, and the next morning he would have felt dirty & used and that might well have made him antagonistic towards gay men - including J.
Dear Santa, all we want for the Holidays are some fun fan videos about Aaron/Jackson and their friends from Emmerdale. We desperately need them to have Holiday themed soundtracks and Santa, we have no chimney so those fan vids would need to be shared with @JessAwards- We PROMISE to feature them and share them with everyone! DO YOU VID? Well, DO YOU?
Cont. And everyone goes through a broken heart. But if they do break up, my question is: Will he ever say that to anybody? (His mom, paddy...) He should let his guard down a bit because not everyone is going to hurt him...but he is actually hurting himself . Trust me I do the same thing lol
I love Jackson, Marc is doing a good job with this character. And I know it has to be hard playing a character that can't move when the actor can lol And as for Aaron maybe he loves Jackson but is afraid to say it because he never said it but his actions show that he does. Worrying about Jackson and all that. And I don't know maybe he doesn't if he can't say it or "isn't sure yet."
Okay ... I love it. So romantic. This storyline has me on edge and nervous ... I hate it. I honestly never know where they are going with it! Which is great, except for my nerves. I thought that they moved this scene a little quickly. I feel like there should of been a more gradual realization for Aaron. But it's okay. I also feel like it was a little anticlimactic. I thought this was a perfect time for the "I love you" and a kiss, but I'm still holding out. I'm okay with out it ...
@yournewsecretcrush just would of preferred it. Hopefully it will continue off here during their next time on screen. I'm worried for Aaron. Honestly, I'm not sure I could stick around if I were him. Jackson's right, he's Aaron's first. And he feels guilty. Not that I don't think Aaron is being honest, but it's possible it may fade. Time will only tell. Rather, I'm hoping Jackson gets better and it's no longer an issue :-). I'll just have to remain completely wrecked while I hope!
@yournewsecretcrush I agree so much. This episode lacked one thing ; Aaron finally telling Jackson that he loves him. As Jackson said before the crash , "When you do fall in love you'll know it". It better happen soon.
Boy as much as I love Aaron, I think the crying is getting old lol. It's kinda getting out of control cuz he cries more than ANY other character on here, but suppose to be the toughest one. As soon as he started talking to Jackson tonite, I knew it would end up with him being the one crying. I think Danny Miller needs to pull back on the crying cuz it's becoming too predictable and the last thing he wants is to b labeled the actor who can "cry on cue"
@yngncheekychap The toughness is just a insecurity. Deep down, Aaron is very emotional and extremely transparent when it comes to Jackson. If I had a guess, it's because he loves him!
Thank you so much for posting their story. My heart skipped a beat when Aaron came into the hospital. I cannot wait to see the next episode. thank you J
Yes I agree this was a touching and highly emotional episode. Unfortunately the reality is Aaron is STILL not at a place where he knows what is best for Jackson..he just doesn't get it..hello! why are you touching J's arm when u KNOW he can't feel it. If you are truly committed to him then start thinking what is best for Jackson, i.e. a caress on the cheek,a kiss on the forhead, AND IF u love him this would be the time to tell him cuz if u can't say that then you're not ready for the committment
The more I watch this, the more Nick irritates me, I don't know if that's because I'm rooting for Aaron and Jackson to be together but he just comes across as a bit too sure of himself. Good to see Aaron smile though :)
@rachev24 Yes he's snide, and he obvously THINKS he is good looking ("you could do better for yourself"). I think if Aaron started having one night stands the self loathing would come back because he is still not entirely comfortable with himself
@AlanRM1000 I completely agree....whatever Aaron's motives for going back to Jackson, whether it's guilt, pity or love, or maybe a combination of all three, stability is something he needs rather than a casual fling because like you said he still isn't comfortable with himself, or his sexuality, and I think being comfortable in his own skin will take a long long time.
Jackson("I would rather be dead") truly loves Aaron. He spells out in very clear terms what a future life together entails. Aaron looks and sounds sincere. But, Jackson is right. After six months,or a year, a young Aaron with active hormones will stray.
@melshorse I do agree, but I do hope Jackson doesn't die. I think one day, given the right support he will want to fight his disability. I wish we had more medical input in the show, they just seem to have given up on him. Also, for anyone who is severely disabled to kill him off would I think be a very insensitive move.
It is a pity Aaron doesn't have the placidity, stability and patience of a Paddy or a Ryan, but I can't c this being a long reunion sadly
@melshorse I suspect so unfortunately. I think it all hinges on whether they extend Marc Silcock (Jackson) contract beyond spring - if they don't.........
It has to be said (I'll probably get into trouble) the story is very much designed to highlight Aaron's highs and lows, and to make him very much the hero or victim, and everyone else just seems to be incidental to that.
To be honest I'm not sure how I feel about this episode. For some reason I feel CHEATED! As if we missed some scenes from Aaron prior to this "revelation". Am I wrong in thinking they should have had at least 1 scene showing Aaron upset after the "breakup"? They never showed Aaron even alone digesting what J had said 2 him. I just think that would have made this "committment" more believable. Although Jackson was believable and realistic in pointing out the obstacles they would face
@marcojacksonlvr I agree with you. Aaron was completely indifferent and hostile at 7, then, by 8.20 without even talking with Adam or Paddy he makes this huge committment.
You can only hope that, having nearly been picked up by the conceited Nick, he realised that Jackson had far better qualities. Jackson has proved his loyalty and generosity to Aaron and I very much doubt anyone else would ever had put up with all of Aaron's abuse
They are showing Emmerdale on TV in my country but it must have been more than a year since I last watched it. For some reason I decided to watch today´s episode. That was a mistake. I think it´s been filmed sometime in 2009. It´s about Ashley´s and Laurel`s baby dying. And once again I´m crying.
@Suvitar234 Sorry - I didn't realise it was that long ago I thought it was Nov 2009, but it must be 2008. It must be thinking of that awful little sponsors song we get in this country prior to the programme. Turns my brain to sawdust!
@AlanRM1000 Here the sponsors are selling mustard, luckily very quietly. Anyway I thought I´ll watch a few more episodes to see Paul and Jonni to get married.
WOW! Aaron has come a long way from being the ever hateful mixed up teen to a full realization of being gay and being with the only guy he loves. I swear Danny and Marc can turn on the waterworks in an instant and deliver their lines with such brilliant acting. This is without a doubt the best soap on the planet. All the cast is superb!
i love this show, but i just dont get why they had to go with the full paralyze, instead of just from the waste down. that would still make for good drama, and we have a lot more story to look forward too. i know this happens in real life, but still.
I love Aaron and Jackson and the actors but I have to say i also love Hazel and that actress!!!! Always so on point all of them. We are lucky to have the best actors on Emmerdale for us and this storyline. Most of the rest of the cast are really good too but watching the whole epis I know none of them like our boys and mummy!!!
^_^ (Y encima puse the are XDD)
continued: but they made a thing about Aaron continuing to hold Jackson's unfeeling hand, not connecting to J's living face. A gesture of support and friendship that misses the mark. Aaron finally connecting to Jackson's face would have expressed a new level of both awareness from him and mutuality in the relationship. It all smacks of a triumph of hope over experience and plausibiility to me. I love them both but not sure another round from them is warrented or will show anything new
One of the best ED episodes for a long time; Danny Miller and Marc Silcock are wonderful actors; the emotion in that final scene was fantastic. Brilliant.
OMG...I just found out about Christmas miracle ...2 bad i cant say anything here...all I'm saying is it would b exactly what the producers told us in advance..." a warmth and emotion that will be just so nice to watch"
I love the fact that Aaron stayed online despite Jackson's best try at getting rid of him, I mean while he tried to talk his piece Jackson just kept blasting him but he kept going saying what he had came to say.
Does anyone else totally cringe at the last the last two sentences? It's you and me, mate; it's us against life. I won't ever leave you again. AAGGHH!
The stakes are terribly high for Jackson. If Aaron left him later it would be so much more painful than if he left him now. You may think me unromantic, but I believe their relationship could only last if Jackson eventually gave Aaron the freedom to have sex on the side. Margot Fonteyn's husband made that arrangement with her after he was shot and paralyzed, and they remained devoted to one another. Sex and love are not the same thing.
@Raggedy9 I tend to agree. I really doubt that Emmerdale are going to be up for taking this on either way, though: either them working out a way to be sexual together or negotiating a way for Aaron being sexual outside their relationship. So we'll end up with this neutered relationship. I didn't feel in the slightest moved to tears tonight. Other episodes have made me cry a lot but not this. For me, Aaron touching Jackson's face would have indicated a shift towards real connection between them
That scene between Pauline Quirk and Danny Miller was amazing :) the storyline gets more boring and moralistic by the minute, but the acting has gone up again.
Interesting development. I thought he was going to say, "I love you," finally, but he didn't. Maybe that's for the best. Maybe if it says it a little later, it will feel more organic, more earned.
@Sorcerer8605 Maybe it will be just as grand as when Brian Kinney said it to Justin Taylor in the fifth season of QAF. It took a looooooooong time, but that made it all the better.
beautiful, " ...I have a thing for you" sniffle "It's you and me, mate" i loved every bit of it, it brought me to tears while I had the hugest smile on my face.
This was amazing and it brought me to tears at the ending of this. This maybe short lived though, I heard something is suppose to happen around Christmas and Adam is involved
@darkquardian12 Because I don't think he does. I suspect that Aaron will never really love anyone, not because he doesn't want to, but because he doesn't know how to. He finds it very difficult to respond to other peoples affection, only 2 hostility - he gets so little real hostility now, but even so there is an air of detatchment in him. I think he says what he thinks people want to hear or what he thinks he ought to say. He may mean it at the time, but A's moods make it hard 2 be consistent
Great acting... Crap story. I don't like the way they have written this couple into a gay/miserable/chaste little corner. How great that they can finally be together, but of course, sleeping in the same bed and being intimate are off the table. How very convenient.
@luckyduck152 My sentiments exactly. You took the words right out of my mouth. It's interesting that there are few comments similar to the insightful point you make.

So, the writers could, realistically, give him some feeling back and suggest a "sex life" for our lads, couldn't they?

Better ending at 10:35 mark:
Aaron (takes hand, caresses Jackson cheek): You can feel that, right?
Jackson (gasps, stutters): Yes-s.
Aaron (taking his other hand, cups Jackson's face): And you can feel that bit, right?
Jackson: Yes
Aaron (leans into Jackson, so close their foreheads are touching): And you can feel that much, right?
Jackson (his eyes start welling up): Aaron -
Aaron kisses him hotly, fiercely. Weeks of frustration dissipate.
Aaron: And you felt that. And I won't leave you ever.

@Boslthrman
The screenwriters can learn something from you! I thought the exact same thing.. They could have shown so much of themselves in that scene! I absolutely love the casting, they fit sooo perfectly well together, but I just feel like the writers don't give them enough of a chance to show that.
Scheffie88 1 year ago
@Scheffie88 I agree with you - there seems to be a real skittishness to showing any real affection between the two. It's a wasted opportunity.
Boslthrman 1 year ago 2
@Boslthrman Wow, this seriously gave me the chills. I couldn't have written it better myself. Even alone in a hospital room with their relationship on the line, the writers won't let them be intimate. I was waiting the whole time Jackson was in the hospital for Aaron to lie down beside him in the bed.
mlorocker 1 year ago
@mlorocker Thank you. I agree with you completely - Aaron should have taken that step and comforted Jackson as only he could, with simple closeness. Sadly, the writers seem to be afraid of scaring their audience.

part of me wanted Aaron to go and make out with that dude first, before he went back to Jackson.
dutchnukelover 1 year ago
@dutchnukelover In a way, yes, because I suspect Nick was just after a one night stand, and after that Aaron would have realised what a decent bloke he has in Jackson,. I doubt he would have been as patient & tolerant to A, But on the other level, as he is still uneasy abt being gay, and the next morning he would have felt dirty & used and that might well have made him antagonistic towards gay men - including J.

We desperately need them to have Holiday themed soundtracks and Santa, we have no chimney so those fan vids would need to be shared with @JessAwards- We PROMISE to feature them and share them with everyone!

I'm okay with out it ...
yournewsecretcrush 1 year ago
@yournewsecretcrush just would of preferred it. Hopefully it will continue off here during their next time on screen. I'm worried for Aaron. Honestly, I'm not sure I could stick around if I were him. Jackson's right, he's Aaron's first. And he feels guilty. Not that I don't think Aaron is being honest, but it's possible it may fade. Time will only tell. Rather, I'm hoping Jackson gets better and it's no longer an issue :-). I'll just have to remain completely wrecked while I hope!
yournewsecretcrush 1 year ago
@yournewsecretcrush I agree so much. This episode lacked one thing ; Aaron finally telling Jackson that he loves him. As Jackson said before the crash , "When you do fall in love you'll know it". It better happen soon.
stvnrbbns 1 year ago
Boy as much as I love Aaron, I think the crying is getting old lol. It's kinda getting out of control cuz he cries more than ANY other character on here, but suppose to be the toughest one. As soon as he started talking to Jackson tonite, I knew it would end up with him being the one crying. I think Danny Miller needs to pull back on the crying cuz it's becoming too predictable and the last thing he wants is to b labeled the actor who can "cry on cue"
yngncheekychap 1 year ago
@yngncheekychap The toughness is just a insecurity. Deep down, Aaron is very emotional and extremely transparent when it comes to Jackson. If I had a guess, it's because he loves him!

jamiet1109 1 year ago

Good to see Aaron smile though :)
rachev24 1 year ago
@rachev24 Yes he's snide, and he obvously THINKS he is good looking ("you could do better for yourself"). I think if Aaron started having one night stands the self loathing would come back because he is still not entirely comfortable with himself
AlanRM1000 1 year ago
@AlanRM1000 I completely agree....whatever Aaron's motives for going back to Jackson, whether it's guilt, pity or love, or maybe a combination of all three, stability is something he needs rather than a casual fling because like you said he still isn't comfortable with himself, or his sexuality, and I think being comfortable in his own skin will take a long long time.

Jackson("I would rather be dead") truly loves Aaron. He spells out in very clear terms what a future life together entails. Aaron looks and sounds sincere. But, Jackson is right. After six months,or a year, a young Aaron with active hormones will stray.
melshorse 1 year ago
@melshorse I do agree, but I do hope Jackson doesn't die. I think one day, given the right support he will want to fight his disability. I wish we had more medical input in the show, they just seem to have given up on him. Also, for anyone who is severely disabled to kill him off would I think be a very insensitive move.
It is a pity Aaron doesn't have the placidity, stability and patience of a Paddy or a Ryan, but I can't c this being a long reunion sadly
AlanRM1000 1 year ago
@AlanRM1000 The writing on this show is very good; but will the writers make this gay story line end in sorrow?
melshorse 1 year ago
@melshorse I suspect so unfortunately. I think it all hinges on whether they extend Marc Silcock (Jackson) contract beyond spring - if they don't.........
It has to be said (I'll probably get into trouble) the story is very much designed to highlight Aaron's highs and lows, and to make him very much the hero or victim, and everyone else just seems to be incidental to that.
AlanRM1000 1 year ago
AND THE DIDN'T KISS? AHHHHHHHH
I wished that Aaron would of touched Jacksons face not his hand :S
strbilo 1 year ago
To be honest I'm not sure how I feel about this episode. For some reason I feel CHEATED! As if we missed some scenes from Aaron prior to this "revelation". Am I wrong in thinking they should have had at least 1 scene showing Aaron upset after the "breakup"? They never showed Aaron even alone digesting what J had said 2 him. I just think that would have made this "committment" more believable. Although Jackson was believable and realistic in pointing out the obstacles they would face
marcojacksonlvr 1 year ago
@marcojacksonlvr I agree with you. Aaron was completely indifferent and hostile at 7, then, by 8.20 without even talking with Adam or Paddy he makes this huge committment.
You can only hope that, having nearly been picked up by the conceited Nick, he realised that Jackson had far better qualities. Jackson has proved his loyalty and generosity to Aaron and I very much doubt anyone else would ever had put up with all of Aaron's abuse
AlanRM1000 1 year ago
@marcojacksonlvr I got to agree with you here. I thought they moved a little quick with the story ... but I'm okay with it!

WOW! Aaron has come a long way from being the ever hateful mixed up teen to a full realization of being gay and being with the only guy he loves. I swear Danny and Marc can turn on the waterworks in an instant and deliver their lines with such brilliant acting. This is without a doubt the best soap on the planet. All the cast is superb!

continued: but they made a thing about Aaron continuing to hold Jackson's unfeeling hand, not connecting to J's living face. A gesture of support and friendship that misses the mark. Aaron finally connecting to Jackson's face would have expressed a new level of both awareness from him and mutuality in the relationship. It all smacks of a triumph of hope over experience and plausibiility to me. I love them both but not sure another round from them is warrented or will show anything new

justmoijah 1 year ago
The stakes are terribly high for Jackson. If Aaron left him later it would be so much more painful than if he left him now. You may think me unromantic, but I believe their relationship could only last if Jackson eventually gave Aaron the freedom to have sex on the side. Margot Fonteyn's husband made that arrangement with her after he was shot and paralyzed, and they remained devoted to one another. Sex and love are not the same thing.
Raggedy9 1 year ago 7
@Raggedy9 I tend to agree. I really doubt that Emmerdale are going to be up for taking this on either way, though: either them working out a way to be sexual together or negotiating a way for Aaron being sexual outside their relationship. So we'll end up with this neutered relationship. I didn't feel in the slightest moved to tears tonight. Other episodes have made me cry a lot but not this. For me, Aaron touching Jackson's face would have indicated a shift towards real connection between them
patroclus33 1 year ago
@patroclus33 I was very moved, but by Jackson, not Aaron. There are so many levels to what Jackson is going through.

Why cant he say "I LOVE YOU!"
darkquardian12 1 year ago
@darkquardian12 Because I don't think he does. I suspect that Aaron will never really love anyone, not because he doesn't want to, but because he doesn't know how to. He finds it very difficult to respond to other peoples affection, only 2 hostility - he gets so little real hostility now, but even so there is an air of detatchment in him. I think he says what he thinks people want to hear or what he thinks he ought to say. He may mean it at the time, but A's moods make it hard 2 be consistent
AlanRM1000 1 year ago
Great acting... Crap story. I don't like the way they have written this couple into a gay/miserable/chaste little corner. How great that they can finally be together, but of course, sleeping in the same bed and being intimate are off the table. How very convenient.
