  • thats my apartment! i live right across from where the roxy used to be. i wasnt even born when it was around, i wish i couldve seen some movies there. they still have posters up for the 1980 screening of rocky horror picture show. bring back the roxy!!

  • I was a Roxy Regular, 6th row Roxy. The LAST theater in Toronto where you could smoke! Obviously was part of the RHPS crowd. Helps when you live a couple blocks over...In the video, you walk all the way to Donlands also. That is where I lived (Al, you may remember from Harbinger days). I was back in the spring of 2011. It is actually amazing how LITTLE has changed along there. Except that there is a friggin Tim Hortons in place of the Roxy, But little else has cjanged....

  • Thanks for the Roxy memories. We enjoyed your music. First heard you on Neil Young's LWW site!

  • Glad you enjoyed it. It was a great time .99¢ movies, crowd reactions, part of a culture. Are you in Toronto?

  • I got so many wonderful vibes from seeing this footage: :14 Bob Dylan; 1:33 classic 50-60s movie theatres--they sounded great in mono, too; 1:35 my beloved Fahrenheit 451 (love you bunches, Ray!); 2:33 The Beatles-Hard Day's Night--or The Poppees "Somebody Loves You/You'd Never Leave"; 2:47 Woody Allen's depiction of lonely New York. No student, artsy fartsy stuff here, this is all good stuff; thanks a million for posting and for the good vibes. Encore, encore!
