  • For anyone who is interested, the entire Mind's Eye series consists of:

    The Mind's Eye

    Beyond the Mind's Eye

    Odyssey into the Mind's Eye

The Gate to the Mind's Eye

As of now, you can still buy them through Amazon as DVDs except the first one, The Mind's Eye which is only available as VHS or laser disc.

  • @cschoon1213 maybe you can help me! My dad used to watch these with me when I was little, and there is one scene that I've been driving myself crazy to find! I can't remember which movie it's in, or what it's called... to be honest, all I can really remember is that there was a butterfly, and the music was so beautiful. I have scoured almost every clip on the internet trying to find it again and I siimply can't find it anywhere... maybe you know which one i'm talking about?

  • The minds eye movies are the one thing i watched more than anything in my childhood.

  • @TheDarkwolf01

I have most of them as DVDs and I still watch them often.

The fantasy / surrealistic images fascinate me and I never tire of this series.

3D animation capabilities have become more advanced since then, but few films compare to these as far as content.

  • Seems so. I used to have it and this wasn't there. They used this soundtrack for the Credits instead. I see they also changed the end of Voyage Home on this version I guess. Wonder why. Perhaps they had to nix this one to fit time contraints?

  • WTF? I don't remember this one! How come? Is it possible it's missing on the old VHS?

  • @PetrKL21 I don't remember this one either, probably just on the DVD release.

  • I remember doing an art project in the 8th grade where we watched this movie then picked a scene to recreate with different media

  • @ XxBeJeweledDancerxX,

That must have been fun and challenging.

Though the Mind's Eye series are old animation, I still think they are some of the best in terms of fantasy and surrealism. The worlds they depict are fascinating and beautiful !
