I'm a 30 year old man and bar a few time I very seldom cry... However I've just watched that and I'm sobbing my heart out, I've never felt such emotion for her, for her lovely husband who words fall me for what he is going through.
Also her Father, she was definitely the apple of his eye, no mother or father should ever have to bury a child, especially one so full of life & vibrance.

It is so sickening that those Mauritians should murder for just a few euros. Sunday Mail reports other Irish holidaymakers who have been robbed in Mauritian hotels. The lovely surroundings there mask the evil intents behind the 'lovely' hotel staff.
I read that the Mauritian president says maybe capital punishment for murder should be reconsidered. Do that. Then use the murderer's organs for replants. That way some sort of good would come of it. These murdering gangs have ended tourism there.

Of course the girl should be laid to rest, I never said she shouldn't. In MY opinion she will never be at rest until the perpetrator/s are convicted. The poor girl, I can't believe this happened to her on her honeymoon. Her husband has been robbed of his life partner and his future, and the children they would have had. How sad for both their families. They will never be the same again. I can only hope that time will lessen their grief and they will find some comfort and a way to live.

Isn't it now time the media backed off and gave the respective families a bit of space and time to grieve. They have got their pound of flesh. I was at the funeral yesterday at it was obnoxious to see cameras stuck in the faces of family members and tv crew stepping on mourners toes and pushing people out of the way just to get a picture of some politician or other. Even today the Mirror and other redtops were running 4 page spreads on the story. The girl has been laid to rest now. Let it rest.

@CancerIsForWimps If you had been at the funeral and seen the level of emotion and the harrowing time for the families you would not say I was being overdramatic. The press were having a field day. Why shouldn't the poor girl be laid to rest and her family be allowed to get their lifes back to some semblence of normality however difficult? What are you really trying to say?

Of course the girl should be laid to rest, I never said she shouldn't. In MY opinion she will never be at rest until the perpetrator/s are convicted. I have a fear like many that the wrong people may be convicted and I believe Micky & John feel the same. And yes the family deserve to be left alone to get back to normality.

This is a lovely tribute...its not about who Micheala is....its about a terrible event that shook the whole country.... a beautiful girl whos life was cut short.....i lost my dad 22yrs ago he was 42 my age now...that pain never goes away...he was a massive Meath fan.....MIcheala will never be forgotten...its a poignant reminder of how short life can be....RIP xx

The poor girl, I can't believe this happened to her on her honeymoon. Her husband has been robbed of his life partner and his future, and the children they would have had. How sad for both their families. They will never be the same again. I can only hope that time will lessen their grief and they will find some comfort and a way to live.

I was 23 yrs old and in the Royal Navy.
I was there for a year. It is a good place for a holiday,
but you have to be careful everywhere these days.
There is good and bad in every country.

Such events make us realize that life is precious and should never be taken for granted. Evil always has victims - the acts of those who fell for the temptation cost her her life and the broken heart of all those who love her. May the cruel death of Michela remind us that evil acts always exact a price. But Michela's total beauty and personality will shine like a beacon in this time of darkness.
