Nah, this time I was unlucky, the flight was 2 hours late, it then took like 45 mins to board the plane, we were not upgraded, no cockpit:(. Can you please tell me how to get into the cockpit during the flight because I am going to try again on the way back, THANKS

Hey sick, I got to go in the cockpit of a V australian boeing 777-300er before the flight. IT WAS AWESOME. We had been upgraded from economy to business class in the first row, so I went up to the front to have a peek, and the captain invited me in :). I talked to him for bout 30 mins, got to hear the ATIS and clearence, it was awesome, On monday I am flying on the emirates a380, and I am going to try get in the cockpit for landing, WILL POST ON YOUTUBE IF I GET LUCKY :)

at the end of the day, the pilot has the decision to allow passengers into the FD,

in Feb 2007 i got a chance to fly in the flightdeck of a 767 from Mumbai to Dubai, it was excellent!!!

@clayton4115 SPOT ON mate! You'd be surprised how many pilots say yes, even these days.

Impossible is nothing! I use the Law of Attraction to my advantage in those situations too, though Travel Agent status (I work from home though) does help a fair bit.

As a former A/G Radio Op for these flights like Air Pac. before 9/11 it was common to be invited into the cockpit with the captains permission. Every one acts like there is a crazy person on every corner ready to committ devastation.

Pilots are NOT "paranoid." First of all, it's is ILLEGAL in the U.S. and in most other countries now to permit anyone onto the flight deck that's not a crewmember while not parked at the gate. That said, they'd be risking their jobs. Second of all, pilots just don't know who they're dealing with anymore. So why would the pilots risk the lives of the hundreds of passengers on board so one stranger can enter the flight deck? To make exceptions these days is extremely foolish.

Thanks :) To make matters even more amazing, y camera's batery was actually dead to shoot the second film posted here, but by miracle, the captain happen to have the same SONY camera a me, and lent me his fully chargd battery to shoot the landing in Sydney while spending the last 45 mn of the flight, on top of the 20 initial minutes during the flight...

WOOOOOOOOW, i love this video! ur SOOO lucky to be able to go into the cockpit...i have visited a few , but i was never able to actually sit down for a while like you and chat to them... :( but these days, even though you went into this one post 9/11 majority of pilots wil not allow anyone to enter, unless its a family relative.....i wish i could visit more, more often...especially whilts take off or landing ...
