  • I understand everything youre saying and youre brave to post this video. I know exactly what you mean when you say "There is no time limit to misery". Its difficult to find words to describe the mammoth emotional anguish of depressive episodes. Keep going, stay strong. Im saying that to you and myself. Love from Scotland xxx

  • thx, yes depression has a very distinct footprint doesn't it? those who have seen it recognize it instantly. have a great day

  • A great many people medicate themselves with exercise. I'm one of them. It's my lifeline. If I go without working out for a week or so, I go into a deep slump....so deep I don't feel like lifting. So I drag myself onto the stairmaster or stationary bike for an hour or so, and the endorphins are going again. I know that money is a problem for you, but maybe there is a gym with an income-based sliding fee scale? The YMCA does that, now. But maybe this is something you've already tried?

  • i also think exercise is a good way to improve mood, i think walking is about my speed :) I plan to swim this summer too. aqua fit stuff.

  • Seems we have the same taste in music.

Anyway, until I was 20, I had wild mood swings: depression alternating with euphoria. About the same time, I started gaining weight, and so switched to diet soft drinks (pre-Aspertame). Suddenly, without sugar, there were no more moods. I'd thought deep depression was an normal part of life. So I know precisely how horrible the lows feel, and what silly behavior the good moods can create. Over the years, I've learned that SUGAR IS POISON.

  • I understand the food aspect of mood swings.. i don't eat a lot of sugar.. i asm not a sweets fan.. usually buy diet pop etc.. but i know sugar palys a huge role in hyperactivity

    sugar highs sugar lows etc..

  • and then the majority of people offer you advice like "just cheer up" ! it is hard to explain, sounds like you get it bad though, be careful.

  • it is common human behaviour to tell some one to cheer up... it is usally the only thing they know to say.. no one knows how to handle sadness because we don't show it to the public.

  • isn't that the truth ! we always ask each other "how are you ?". then we say "fine". Sometimes I feel like asking people "do you really want to know ?". thanks for your honesty.

  • on the other side of the coin - if some you asked "how are u" said " well as a mtter of fatc i feel ilke hell". how would yuou respond?

  • I used to do that to people I worked with. I'd just shake my head and say "terrible, just terrible" then I'd usually smile and say just kidding. hell, what's the fun in being crazy if you can't at least fuck with people a little. ;-) of course I wound up losing that job due to mental illnesses.

  • lol I hear ya, don't fuck with da public dude... it always back-firs they have no sense of ha-ha

  • You are helping people.

  • Ty I hope so. :)
