I think eventually it will be fitted with Harpoon anti ship missiles & maybe cruise missiles..but it's early days yet, it's a new ship & it takes time & money to bring a ship up to spec..lets hope it gets the weapons it deserves.

Ugly ship.......And how can a mere Destroyer be the most expensive military ship the UK has built to date ? No Battleships ? Aircraft Carriers ? Nothing ?

@NikKast1981 probably because it is the latest ship we have built ,warship inflation increases at a massive amount more then civil inflation,plus its a very capble ship in term of air defence.it is at least four time more effective then the ship it replaces hence the cost.

@ROOSTER1067 A destroyer who needs sea to sea and sea to land support is simply silly......And it's also VERY expensive....Destroyers were always ment to support large fleets of carriers, battleships and transports but this can hardly support itself as is......Would it hurt if they made it a bit larger in order to outfit it with more weapons ?

@NikKast1981 It's a much cleaner design with no right angles unlike other designs wich look cluttered & messy with their antennas, it's designed to be stealthy & hard to detect, it's the future

@TyphoonDelta1 Beautiful does not equal to sleek.......You can something beautiful/pretty because of it's design....This ship has no design...You can call the Battleship Yamato beautiful since it had a great design, this no.....You can't call 500 pieces of metal placed next to each other as something great in design.

@ROOSTER1067 Yeah ,she was built across the street from me at BAE syst. in Govan on the Clyde.Ive watched all the T45's being built from the ground up...Its amazing to see them out at sea doing they're thing when you remember them when the were just big bits of raw steel.
