I can't believe the audio was censored. EVERYBODY WINS when quality work like this is created... Zep, Tolkien, and their respective corporations only benefit each time this vid is viewed and awareness raised. I wonder how many more book/record sales were a result of this adaptation of music and video?????
Really youtube? You're going to keep Zeppelin away from the masses? You're going to go even further than your piece of shit video quality, tiny little screens and fucked up emo kids who think they are great because they filmed themselves an posted it on your over rated website?
I also gotta say i will pirate every song i get a CHANCE to because of this, you fucking worthless music industry!Just because you act this way.Enjoy, you giant fat fuckin pigs.
I agree with you all the way. I think the age of buying music is over and in desperation the record companies are try to keep their music from the people who havent bought it but in the end it will all just start to become less popular
A desperate attempt by a dying industry to trying to keep control of the money. What artists don;t realize when they support these decisions is that they'll fade into obscurity if not made avail to public records. Are we telling ourselves as people that poor people don't deserve to hear music? If one of my band's tunes was made avail to every 1 on the planet I would be honorred if any1 watched. I'd make my money on live performances
The vid was great but from my research it was the record company that's requested it it all be taken down. And, unfortunately, YouTube is required by law to do so. I'm pissed off that YouTube didn't stand their ground and claim under the freedom of information act, but they're still not really responsible. And hey don't rip on accountants! You do realise they're not bad people or even boring people, they're just good with numbers and make way loads of money! They're, obviously, not responsible.
I was attacked by a vicious band of accountants as a child. Seriously though, my point was it was it was removed for monetary reasons rather then that the band didn't like how it was done.
Copyright holders ? This fucking song has been out for forty years. How much royalties do you need before you realize that your art was made for the world and belongs to the world.
What the fuck has YouTube done now?! I can't fuckin listen to the song?! What fucking copyright?! Why?! Aaaaaaaargh fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckety, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!!!
ALL is not lost folks, just start the video then 16 secs later in another tab start the song it works out pretty good.THIS IS MY FAVORITE VIDEO ON THIS THING HAD TO MAKE IT WORK GOOD LUCK ALL !!!!!!!!!!!
Probably the record company that owns the rights to the music. You just don't understand. An artist deserves to get paid for their music. Not have people listen to it for free. Nothing in life is free!
every zeppelin video i watch to enjoy a song of mystic spiritual awakening is shut down but retards arguing about some stupid ass shit.. why dont you fucks write a goddamn letter to plant or page... honestly yeah he probbly WAS influenced by LOTR why? its the fucking shit...does it matter? NO...its a song you listen with ur hears but you cant why? your typing bullshit fuck ass comments about whos right whos wrong EVERY zeppelin video here..EVERY ONE!!!... take pride in being a fucking cunt
this song has nothing to do with the lord of the rings its about scottish folklore. Plant was enthralled with old scottish stories when he wrote the lyrics for this song. Ramble on is influenced by the lord of the rings
He was influenced by the two towers at the time of writing thats why he says ring wraiths, eastern glow (referring to gandalf coming to aid aragon from the east), and the dark lord.
believe me dude this song has nothing to do with the lord of the rings just cause you calim to be a zeppelin fan doesnt mean you know anything about them research your stuff man
actually there is some pretty blatant lord of the rings references in this song, and some other ones as well. sorry to say, it's true. lord of the rings was around long before the movies came out.
no shit dude of course the lord of the rings was around before the movies and jimmy and robert were both fans of the book but this song does not have any references of the book it is about scottish folklore
"this song does not have any references of the book it is about scottish folklore"
i'll say it again: THE RINGWRAITHS RIDE IN BLACK.
if you don't think it's influenced by LOTR, good for you, you're wrong, but good for you. the references are blatent, if you want to stick your fingers in your ears and pretend they aren't there for whatever reasons, good luck with that, but they rest of us can clearly see them. good luck
just like to draw your attention to the word 'Ringwraiths'
the first part of that word is particularly revealing. sure there was things called 'wraiths' in scottish folklore (water wraiths etc), but RINGwraiths? I don't think so. if there is a book about Led Zeppelin in which a guy gives another explanation for what it's about good for him, that's his interpretation. the references are there, whether you want to believe them or not. good day to you.
it isnt influenced by lord of the rings read the books "whole lotta led zeppelin" and "led zeppelin" by richard cole and you tell me what this song is about
Sandy Denny was the goddess of song. I read somewhere that she and Page were actually schoolmates at some artsy-fartsy music school when they were kids.
So much talent sprang out of post-war England. There was somthing in the water in the late 40s.
If anyone is unfamiliar with her work you'd be wise to check out Fairport Convention (pre-'76) Album Leige and Leaf is a great place to start.
This song is angelic. The way Sandy Denny and Robert Plant's make a shrilling collaboration makes this song not only an amazing synchronization towards LOTR, but a very magical and mystic presence in any Zeppelin Listener's mind.

this is one of the most wonderful songs of this great band. No other band could have done this better, a dateless classic. This song is so epic and rockmusic is so manifold
Fail in your comprehension of lyrics. Hookt on fonix (understanding the plot of a story) version is available for you, if you so choose to buy a clue.
robert plant has actually admitted a lord of the rings influence to alot of his works. Check out the song Ramble On thats the easiest to hear a lord of the rings influence
" and on the darkest steps of mordor....i met a girl so fair..but golem..and the evil one..crep up and slipped away with her..her..her..yeah...and ya know somtimes i grow so tired..but i know one thing i got to sdo... ahhh ramble on!!"
There's one inescapable bit of lyric, that tells you that LotR was a gigantic influence on Zepplin, and it's in one of their lighter songs, oddly enough, Ramble On.
It goes, "In the darkest depths of Mordor, i met a girl so fair. But Gollum, and the evil one, crept up and swept away with her.".That's just solid proof right there. Also a very excellent lyric, i must say.
can't be the Pelennor fields... coz the "dark lord" does not ride in force in to Pelennor fields. Oh... and the Witch King was never the Dark Lord... It always referred to Sauron...
the Dark Lord is probably a metonymy for the "mordor's army". The dark lord rides in force actually means the "mordor's army" rides in force. Common poetic language.
Good point.... But, it's a stretch don't you think between Evermore and Pelennor fields... I can't remenber if Tolkein mentions a cavalry in the battle and I dont mean Oliphaunts..... The Witch King himself was on air wasn't he? It's just that I find very few concrete references to LOTR....
It's sandy Denny from fairport convention, the only guest vocalist to appear on any Led Zep song, She was an amazing vocalist but sadly died 30 years ago, at Cropredy festival this year Robert Plant turned up and sang this with Fairport, it was ace
Ramble On references Gollum after the solo. Misty Mountain references going to the "Misty Mountains" where the spirits lie. ei: The Cave of the Dead. in No Quarters it mentions the "Dogs of Doom". i forget what there called in Lord of the Rings.
Excellent work -Reachers-! Thanks for posting this brilliant video. -BlissStudio- is right people. Don't let the scat brained purvayors of doubt and hatred stop you from enjoying this.
When you listen to this wonderful compisistion, close your eyes...you can see the battle.Roberts vocals on this is haunting. Pagey and Jonsey have outdone themselves.
rap isn't even music, it's guys who talk shit over and over and over to some synthesized bass line. Led Zeppelin had talent unfathomable to us up-and coming bassist and guitarist, i guess it is safe to say that those who have an appreciation for beautiful, and real music like Led Zeppelin
the 4 men in that faggot hippie band got more pussy in one night than you'll ever get and that happened night after night after night. one word... jealousy.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Listien ConsumedByCum.. Everyone knows that two of the band memebers were faggots, as well as, they were all to high on drugs to get any snapper.
I would have to say that you were born through a whore, or, at least fatherd by a weak faggot - Why would I say all of that about you. Well, the turd does not fall far from the ass. And if you are this much of a peice of trash, then what ever it was that shit you out must be along the same lines. :)
someone's a bit emotional but truth hurts i guess... and gay or not they still got more pussy, money, fame, love and support than you'll ever hope to get... LOL your insults were kinda creative though i give you a 2/5 for trying little boy.
Yeah, and the funny thing about your statement is the fact that you're gay too lol. Nobody on this fucking planet can run away from their gayness, because every single human being is bisexual. It's natural law.
I don't even understand how you can insult this band... i mean, they might not be the greatest TO YOU, but that doesn't mean they are bad. I don't like rap at all, but i acknowledge that it is legitimate music, and really is art. fuck, even Picasso's shit was art... and that was weird looking stuff.
Not many people know this, but not all of Picasso's art was so weird looking -his early work (1895-1899) is quite realistic.
It is the richest of ironies that this artist whom so many have dismissed with the hackneyed phrase "my kid could do that" is perhaps the greatest technical virtuoso of all time. When he wanted to, he could draw "realistically" better than any artist I know of -without exception- and moreover could do so by the age of fourteen.
I can't believe the audio was censored. EVERYBODY WINS when quality work like this is created... Zep, Tolkien, and their respective corporations only benefit each time this vid is viewed and awareness raised. What other songs speaks of Tolkiens work?
Whydoyoureadme 3 years ago
in stairway to heaven for esemple say: "There's a feeling I get when I look to the West
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking", many think that is referred to the elfs in the lord of the rings...
there are allusion in no quarter, over the hills and far away, misty mountain hop, ramble on and others..
LedLumba93 3 years ago
Ramble On references Gollum after the solo. Misty Mountain references going to the "Misty Mountains" where the spirits lie. ei: The Cave of the Dead. in No Quarters it mentions the "Dogs of Doom". i forget what there called in Lord of the Rings.

rap isn't even music, it's guys who talk shit over and over and over to some synthesized bass line. Led Zeppelin had talent unfathomable to us up-and coming bassist and guitarist, i guess it is safe to say that those who have an appreciation for beautiful, and real music like Led Zeppelin
LaxGoalieTSG 3 years ago 5
rap is music. its sounds we can tie with meaning and emotion... i understand your point but face reality rap is music just a very bastardizing form.

VerticaISmiIe 3 years ago
someone's a bit emotional but truth hurts i guess... and gay or not they still got more pussy, money, fame, love and support than you'll ever hope to get... LOL your insults were kinda creative though i give you a 2/5 for trying little boy.
ConsumedByDrums 3 years ago 2
Truth is truth.. And you are without a doubt a hippie faggot;)
VerticaISmiIe 3 years ago
Yeah, and the funny thing about your statement is the fact that you're gay too lol. Nobody on this fucking planet can run away from their gayness, because every single human being is bisexual. It's natural law.

I don't even understand how you can insult this band... i mean, they might not be the greatest TO YOU, but that doesn't mean they are bad. I don't like rap at all, but i acknowledge that it is legitimate music, and really is art. fuck, even Picasso's shit was art... and that was weird looking stuff.
TransformersMan1994 3 years ago 12
rap is not music... music has a melody.
payerpye 3 years ago 5
Mmm. No. Music has heart. Which often is expressed with melody.
Incongruent 3 years ago
thats called emotion. you're heart pumps blood and nothing else.
ConsumedByDrums 3 years ago
*Even* Picasso? Especially Picasso.
