Too bad you sold it. Well now you can just keep this stuff in mind for the future. I have a `84 533i - was my 1st car... daily-driver for 12 years in all kinds of weather. If you get snow in the winter, buy 4 quality snows for any RWD like that Benz. The 300D is a very durable car. Btw, I did not know about the revving thing until I was 20. Good luck.
I'm trying to get another BMW. I want a little 3 series. The 7 wasted to much gas for my income hah. I have a video of the benz. but thanks for the hint.
dont rev it in park or neutral especially after putting it into gear then back into park or neautral because the #1 clutch pack stays pressurized and you might blow it up by revving it. google this issue to learn more
You beat me to it. I was going to say the same thing. Plus the engine is cold (see guage) - not good to rev this high until several minutes of driving. By the way, tap the brake or press the check/control button and the central warning light will stop flashing.
@1984AP Thanks bro. I just sold it, as you can see I'm not educated with cars, it was my first. I'm sad I let it go, but I got a 1983 Benz 300 Turbo Diesel. Even more complicated.
@joshuarawrtorres funny! My grandma had a 83 300d benz loved that car but I just got a 84 733I just like this on e for my first car going to get a benz down the road. Did you enjoy driving this Beamer?

btw, you do not want to rev your cold bmw engine *any* higher than 2500 rpm. otherwise: possible head damage.. have a nice day..
