Sammo Hung was using Tiger style Chinese Kung Fu as well as several other forms of traditional Chinese Kung Fu. Ip Man is using Wung Chuan which is considered a "woman's" art form.

I practice Wing Chun too, and I must say that this movie, and the one before, are far out the best movies to show Wing Chun in. There are a lot of movies in wich Wing Chun is shown, only the more 'nonsense' like shows. While Wing Chun is really a 'non-nonsense' martial art. That would mean no flying people delivering kick's that reach heads and stuff.
