U might not know this but black ppl shades of color changes some times, my brother was light skin when he was a child & got darker when he got older. MJ skin color change more then once as a child some videos he was light & sometimes he was darker. What is the deal? I could care less about the shade of his skin, he could be green w/purple & orange poka dots. He would still be fine, gorgeous & sing like an Angel, if ur going 2 point something out about M.J. how about how good he looks in RED.

I don't like these discussions about his skin. Growing up, I never thought of him as black or white or any colour in between, all I knew was that he was cute and I liked his hair:) It's interesting how kids don't define people by their skin colour. I think we're just getting dumber as we grow older.

I don't think that Michael wanted to be a white person or didn't want to be a black person. It would be all but impossible to make black skin white, but easy for someone so gifted with sounds to assume the speech patterns of a white person, and he didn't do it. Ever. He used phrasing and and patterns of speech unique to black people and never tried to change that part of himself. I hope no one takes this comment the wrong way. It is meant as an observation and I always wonder why no one says it.

i'm sure that somebody who embarrasses as easily as he did and was as in the public eye as he was would never CHOOSE to turn white. i think being white was the lesser of two evils, i don't think he could bear being made fun of for large white patches all over his face. i don't think he would have worked so hard to break racial boundaries only to up and choose to be white once he broke them, that's ridiculous. poor guy.

I am not saying that there was a conspiracy but that that darker makeup just did not work, but whatever he was using in 1988 and on the Ebony photo-shoot did work. And by the way he was not trying to look white, and even if he was, my point is why is that a problem. White people get tans to look darker all the time and people don't have a problem with that!!!!

his skin is darker b/c this is when the white blotches caused by his vitiligo were startin' 2 increase n they were trying 2 use the darker make up 2 cover them up rather than the lighter makeup 2 conceal his normal complexion.
