Not like an accordian ... more just lifting up and the 5 individual pannels following a rail system up to a resting place parallel with ceiling. tried to align a cloner object with a spline with no success ... then I "spline wrapped" 5 individual pannels with a spline and offesetting them with some success. I just know there must be an easier way that I haven't discovered yet.
working on modeling a garage door opening and closing... seems simple, yet having a hard time ... seems like lots of ways to go about it ... any advice which direction I should go?
@primarymusicusa Yeah. Been doing this for about 1 1/2 years now for a living. But ive got about 5 years experience with C4D. It was mainly a hobby at first.
@Remoth000 Yeah, right now im not sure if Cinema 4D has a way of keeping the pieces together while only allowing the parts in contact with the blades to break off.
I think 3DS Max and Maya has a way of doing this, but C4D just isnt quite there yet... at least that I know of.
Now you've got me curious.... looks like ive got a new idea for my next experiment. lol
@ShepperdOneill Its possible to do the sequenced shattering .I think you should starrt the destruction with polyFX and then trigger the xplosion. Its verry easy to move polyFX during the animation.Animation is great.I liked it.
@MrLaurixxxx Yes, you're right. That was a mistake on my part. The blades were not linked to the glass top. Not a big deal though.... It can be fixed easily.

@primarymusicusa What kind of garage door? One that bends as it goes up, or a solid 1-piece door?

How loaded is your computer ... my Mac is a quad-core with 8 gigs ram ... to do stuff like yours ... what do I need? Your work is very impressive.

@primarymusicusa Im using a dual quad (8-core), 4 gigs ram. You shouldnt have any trouble doing this type of work.

That was pretty sweet. only critique I have is that the iphone "shattered" when it touched the blade. that xplode plugin is pretty awesome...

@ShepperdOneill haha, if you can pull it off, that would be amazing. I would love to see it.

@ShepperdOneill Its a bit strange. When you removed it the blade stayed on the motor. That does what mean? :) There is no bottom? :)
