  • This car is very VERY nice and in perfect condition. This is my favorite year of Corvette. I hope one day to own one of my own. :)

  • almost 8000 miles yeah right it hardly starts sorry for bad english..

  • @JedemPoKucama In the description he states that it has been in storage for a good while. So I wouldn't doubt it to start up badly.

  • @JedemPoKucama It might not start as fast because its a show room car so its rarly started meaning the battery geets depleted

  • anyone else notice it was in Bitch mode the whole time aka "250 hp mode"

  • @kelly00000111111 for the first part of the drive it wasn't. the second half it was though.

  • Good video Kyle. Cool Corvette for sure.

  • what a nice sound. i drove one at the auto auctions. but not enough room to get out of second gear lol

  • My god, that car look comfortable.

  • Those mudflaps has got to GO. They make the car look like a redneckmobile.

  • Very cool car, but good Lord that late 1980s / early 1990s GM interior is HORRENDOUS. Still one of the best supercars ever.

  • 12.5 sec 1/4 mile car..... faster than 90% of the cars out there ..... even 20 years later.

  • I want it

  • I just bought one this week! Exactly like this; Red with red interior, but with 16,000 miles. It is so clean! I love it so far! This guy says the valet key cuts the power to 250hp, but I believe it is 200hp.

  • Poor car, put in storage and not driven like it was meant to be,...... wish I could afford one.

  • Amazing car.

  • 60,000 dollars in 1990 a milionare must of bought it.

  • @Iowaman321 exactly even now thats no small piece of change

  • @kupidzheart so you would have 60,000 dollars laying around to pay for a car.

  • @Iowaman321 ummm I said its NOT a small piece of change, avg car back then was 12k.

  • 3.90" Bore on the LT5

  • I couldnt handle that red leather

  • nice car but 2 slow

  • its a shame how a dealer sells u a car with no gas

  • @MrChriskenser Hey.

If a car is in storage at the dealer there has to be as less fuel as possible in case of a company fire.

Plus you know that the car is only out for a testdrive in this vid.

  • its a shame these cars dont get driven at all

  • KYLE.....

EXCELLENT, HOW CAN YOU IMPROVE, BECAUSE I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING.

LOTS OF TIME GIVEN TO EVERY SWITCH AND AREA INSIDE CAR, AND OUTSIDE. AND A ROADTEST. CLEAR SIMPLE WORDS EVERYONE CAN UNDERSTAND.

IN MY DREAM 140 CAR GARRAGE ARE A FEW ZR-1, IN FEW DIFFERENT COLOURS. I LOVE THEM. WONDER WHAT PERFORMANCE FIGURES ARE FOR THE ZR-1, WITH PERFORMANCE VALET KEY TURNED OFF ???

    THANK YOU AGAIN, DARNA

  • the transmission of the 1984-1996 Chevrolet Corvette

    Transmission

    4-speed auto.

4+3 Doug Nash (overdrive) manual (1984-1988)

    ZF 6-speed manual (1989-1996)

  • best car ever

  • hey Kyle, my name is Jacob. I watch all your video's. I was wondering if you could do a new video on a newer Corvette.

  • I love the late 80s early 90s corvette body style VERY COOL

  • This car should have had a glass panel in the hood!! That engine is a work of art!

  • sure am glad you said "neural" so as to show us where neutral is

  • What is that switch down where the radio sits? Couldnt tell what it was.. Looks like a key

  • I love it because its a manual transmission

  • How come it was sitting on a rug? Leaking oil? hahaha, I keed, I keed.

Gotta love how the hood opens. Car repairs would go a lot faster if all cars opened like that.

  • @Jakeman2164 Ford Probes were actually pretty kickass cars for the price. Too bad they were FWD.

  • american muscle

  • my moms husband has a 1990 zr-1. Its been rotting in a shed for 12 years or so. terrible ...it has 23,000 miles on it...

  • 1:57 best headlights ever!

  • Great review of a great car, zr 1 is my favorite american car.

  • I have a 90 vette the screen above the air controls has no touch feature. Sections of the screen will light up saying service engine soon ect ect.

  • Gotta love it, but the LS series v8 will always sound better then the LT!!

  • we bliinded by da light wrapped up like a douche another roman in the night

  • whats the screen above the air/heat display for?

  • @sd732010 i wanted to know the same thing, he did another vid with a 88 vette and he never touched the screen either

  • what a cool video doou can do u think you can do a 2010 or 2011 chevy traverse ltz

  • the 1990 zr1 is still the best sounding car I ever heard. They are the ones to buy right now.

  • I remember when I was 13 and looking at one of these just in aww of the ZR1 badge because eventhough I couldn't see under the hood I knew what was there. DOHC 4- valve heads! I still want one... and an 80's countach (with the spoiler lol).

  • nice find

  • seats look so comfortable

  • Damn them seats look nice for a "Fastest Production Car in the World"

  • that's a bad mofo

  • oil pressure seems kind of low

  • Great car!! It's in amazing condition!

  • what a monster!

  • nice vette i'm not to crazy about the red interior i would prefer black but other than that i wouldn't change anything else

  • Is that the handbrake on the left, tucked near the driver seat? Never seen that done before..

  • Very nice! What is your asking price please?

  • 375 bhp monster. For 1990, this was cutting edge. And that engine was made by a european manufacturer, 348 cubic inches, in NO way related to the crappy OHV GM 350. This car even had a kill switch for the hp so Daddy could lend it to Jr. for prom night.

Cutting edge, a great idea, and of course, what did GM do with it? Why, the same thing they do with all their great ideas, like the Fiero, the newer GTO or the Reatta...or even the Corvair...they drop it.

  • i saw one off these at a lkq junk yard luckly i saved the fender where it says tune port injected

  • my opinion the 80's corvettes were the worst corvettes EVER

  • @AC1583 this one's from the '90s douche. And it's probably cooler than whatever you drive

  • that interior looks very minty! Its also so 90s, but i love it because it came out in the year i was born (1989) based of the 1990 year designation.

  • Why was it sooo slow?? Alos check out how the rpm needle is moving in the start up

  • Why was it sooo slow??

  • @mazda3guy00 Maybe the engine needs to take some time to fire up... I guess.

  • i didnt think it was going to start

  • beautiful car

  • Yup im gettin one this summer for 9,900

  • was there a zr1 before this

  • I have never seen someone shift a manual transmission so slow, hello its a ZR1!!!!!!!

  • @GSXRMark99 really! some time my dad does that in his 99 vette rag top but at night and with slow people on the highway that dont know what they are doing he puts in to ("fast shifting mode")

  • Great video and beautiful car!

Just a question; why do so many American cars 'bong' when you put the key in the ignition? It is to meet regulations? Whatever the reason, it's annoying!

  • @Jakeman2164 well in england not alot of cars had a factory CD player were in cars in the 1990s except expensive ones

  • I'm 17 years old. This has been my favorite car since I was about 11 and knew anything about cars, and I dream of buying one sometime in my future.

  • Ahhhhh Sweet ride and ilove how Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Blinded By The Light came on haha

  • im waiting for the guy driving to take off and some of that power but no :(

  • 90s forever!

  • Hm, why is it on a carpet?

  • the 1984-1996 Chevrolet Corvette was assembled in

    Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States

  • @Annihilator1111 Still made in KY.

  • a car from 1990 with a CD played OMFG

  • @Annihilator1111 LOL....1990 wasn't exactly the Dark Ages.

  • @firstmusic00 Yes i know but most cars didnt have a CD player but most of them were Cassette Player

  • dude drives like a total pansy, couldnt even hear the intake or anything. what a waste of a drive in a zr1

  • @gward13 It's for sale, they don't wanna risk anything. Of course you can always buy it and drive it as you please in the full power mode.

  • In my village/town where I live (britain) we have a corvette dealership, they currently have an old Corvette C1 race car (the gold one with red wheels etc) for 69 grand. AMAZING!

  • at 6:14 it sounds like he says "all the fucken seats are full power" XD

  • @cptprice3 LOL

  • hmmm wonder how much it goes for...

  • LAMEST TESTRIDE IN HISTORY!!!!

  • @stevehislop Well you can't drive mad on the street's.

  • @Blueball0120 ...but at least you could rev it up a bit further.

  • dude that thing is mint for a 20 year old car, awesome! I love the way the headlights come on and off :D

  • my 24 year old honda starts easier than that

  • it sounds like that car has ben sittin for a while

  • those lights are fuckign awesome

  • @yuyusuck lol I was going to say I was sold when I saw those pop up headlights : ) I was like saweeet!! If I owned this car I'd somehow come up with a custom plate that somehow says to the new zr1s= Who's your daddy? These beauties were the first and the only in my eyes : )

  • the 0-60 stats are the same on my '07 mercedes CLK550. just goes to show how far german engineering has come lol

  • i know you used wikipedia for that

  • hard to believe this car is 20 years old and it can beat most of the cars out there

  • manual!

  • Wow, that's nice! I want it!

  • Oh, wow the early nineties interior is nauseatingly bad... So sad for such an interesting car.

Btw the bore and stroke of the LT5 motor DO differ from other 350; at 3.9" x 3.66" instead of the usual 4" x 3.48".

  • lmfao the headlights did a backflip!

  • less than 8k miles omfg! wow

  • Nice bad , bad he didn't pushed the engine near the red line :(

  • Thanks for directing me to this video Kyle, it's really hard to keep up with your vids man, as well as my other subscriptions. This car is a gem, thanks for the tour.

  • this interior looks much better than the 88 one

  • awesome kyle, love it!!

  • now this is what im talking about an nice automobile... this is nice... this i would not mind driving everyday :)

  • Tell that guy to stop resting his hand on the shifter and to rev match his friggen downshifts!!! Poor ZR1

  • I really like the way you do these reviews. They are very in depth and show ever thing about the car as i would if i were going to buy a car.

  • 25 MPG highway? That's quite impressive, especially in comparison to other sports cars at the time.

  • Great vid, bro! I figured that this Corvette was way ahead of its time. Love it!

  • The Boss took this one out... :P

  • does the a/c work and shit low miles very low! that needs to go back in storeage to save the miles and that be a shame if cash 4 clunkers had got a hold of dat poor car

  • I love all your reviews, but really dislike when you rev them so low. Could you rev higher?

  • holy crap! only 7,937miles?!

  • amazing car, and great video!

  • Kyle nice find there bud. love the video and that car is nice. Nice find there bro.

need to tell the dealership, that they need to start the thing at least once a week and let her idle for a bit to keep the valve seals lubed up and at least take it for a roll once in a while. which im sure they do, but that is why there was little bit of blue smoke when you did the exhaust clips, thats the oil coming from the valve seals.

  • very good explaination...... I guess I need to do that in some of my videos....

  • so was this recorded using your n ew camera

  • so is this using the new camera?

  • @kevinf1990 yep it sure is, except for the outside exhaust portion and the "I'm at monroe moror..." parts

  • @saabkyle04 under 8k on it man it mustve been stored for years without starting you should do a fluid flush

  • @saabkyle04 god if i had the money i would really love to buy that car

  • Poor Kyle didn't get to drive it...

  • Awesome Vette! I wonder if someone would rather have this or a new one? anyway, great video once again and congrats on your 800th video!

  • I had a 91 6spd l98 with some fast burn heads and a bunch of tpis stuff, it ran 12.02 @117 on some nitto's , it looked just like this car. To this day it was the fastest car I have ever owned. The pain in the ass about them is trying to keep a clutch in one. I never got to use a MCloed twin disk because I had an offset ground crank. Love me some C4s , Callaway will always be my hero.

  • Nice car! But those swirls are a shame...

  • wow

  • wow that vette in that condition with those miles is pure porn

  • my favorite corvette, love these cars. I also really like the gauge cluster on these things.

    very nice find.

  • did u ever lock a car with the keys inside??

  • congrats on the 800th video!!!

  • congrats with the 800 videos. and i wonder what car will be in the 1000th video

  • Ford Fiesta 2011 please.

  • FORD FIESTA 2011 please

  • congrats on your 800th vid

4 guys missed the like button

  • beautiful car the interior is amazing along with the whole car

  • lol

    we see your hyundai genesis

  • Kyle, This a totally awesome car and video!!!! The ZR1 is definitely one of my all-time favorite cars!!!! Thanks so much for doing this. What a totally beautiful car!!!! I wonder how much that car is worth today?

  • my best friends uncle has a 92 zr1, (think its a 92) Elias Koteas, if anyone remembers Casey Jones from ninja turtles, its that guy :P

  • i thumbs up`d the video before it was even loaded, anyone would know why

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • Congratulations on your 800TH VIDEO!!! You are truly the best youtuber out there.

  • @1bentley4ever Thanks bro that means a lot! :D

  • @saabkyle04 Absolutely! Have anything good planned for the 1000th vid?

  • @saabkyle04 yea and hye is so right i love cars

  • @1bentley4ever agreed. you dont have this "im mightier than thou" attitude many others acquire

  • I love C4's, i don't think they recieve much appreciation, but of cours I am going to like this! Great vid. If anyone wants to see the making of this at Mercury Marine, I have a vid from the same era!!

  • @bajabusta I remember those manufacturer videos you had, they're awesome! I agree, I think this is a sweet looking body, not too edgy or curvy, a good blend. Respond some of those videos on here, I think it would be a great addition!

  • @saabkyle04 sure thing!

  • @saabkyle04 The only thing I dont like about them is the way underpowered stock modle, and the interior. its just ODD! Otherthan that awsome!! Im going to make my self one day buy a c4 ZR1 and a c6 ZR1! Cool!

  • @bajabusta The motor was trash, beginning of a new era of Corvette, Chevy wanted something new, and they didn't do it as well as they should have.

  • @orbitofdoom16 Everything is debatable, and i have not heard anything to back up your statement. Not enough to disuay me from acquiring one, your internet comment that is!

  • @bajabusta That optispark or digi spark crap failed out of the box.

  • Nice ' Vette!

  • Guess Prince was right...

  • 7,000 miles is'nt bad for a 20 year old car "lol"

  • Remember the song "Little Red Corvette" by Prince? This car always reminds me of that song because it's red. A "Little Red Corvette!" LOL!!! Congrats on the 800th video milestone! You are a true inspiration when it comes to a wide variety of car video tours and test drives. Keep up the good work!

  • Awesome Video Kyle!

  • Great video as always Kyle! Those ZR1s are awesome!

  • Well that wasn't so impressive as the Lamborghini test drive HAHAHA LOL

  • this makes me miss pop up headlights :(

  • Thanks saabkyle04 for the video.

  • such a beautiful ZR-1. thx for posting.

  • i hate the C4.

  • @stopscrewingaround11 idk why people don't like this gen, I thought it was sweet looking, i'm not a fan of the late 90's, too rounded looking, but that's my preference, guess everyone's different lol.

  • @saabkyle04 i don't like the C5 either. i just think the C4 was a massive jump down in terms of curves and the "stop and stare" appeal was just not as big as previous Corvettes like the C3 and C2. the pronounced chiseled fenders were dropped in favor of flat, boxy 80's design. just isn't as special as Corvettes should be. the C6 ZR1 is where it's at.

  • One of my most favorite American cars of all time. Well done for the review and pass our thanks to the dealers who let you review their giant ornament....

It should be driven more I say. It was made to be driven!!!!!

  • @MrStelmer You are right about that! Thanks a lot man!

  • Comment removed

  • what only 480 p wtf i thought you got a new cam

  • @cessnaid I did get a new camera and the video is HD, I am not going to upload a HD file to youtube because it's a waste of time an effort and isn't hardly any difference. plus it loads really slow. I will not hardly be able to upload otherwise. This is the way it's going to be

  • 7900 Miles? It's hardley even broken in!

    I love that car

  • @Mississippi1313 Haha I know right!

  • I really don't like Corvettes, but when I see one like this, its hard not to take a second glance..

  • who was driving that car. He seems like a master at stick.

  • Huh, never heard of a car with two hp ratings
