They're family farms and those families that run the operations care more about the animals and land than any of you who try and support animal rights organizations. They are using your emotions against you. I challenge you to go to a farm and see for yourselves.

Egg protein is more digestible when it's cooked. I worked at a farm like this when I was a youngun. Since then I try to buy the best-produced eggs I can. But you have to consider that there are a lot of people who need the cheapest prices they can have on their food, and this is done for that sake. It's nice for the chickens if you do better, but how much do you want to start paying for food? It's a tradeoff.

Humans can eat any meat raw. It is cooked because most often, by the time we get it, it's already been contaminated with bacteria or pathogens. Animals that eat raw meat usually do so when the animal that meat is coming from is still alive. ecoli and salmonella dont come from inside the meat, they just get to it first. i used to work at an egg factory. i was HORRIBLE! it smells like chemicals, eggs, and shit. people get sent to the hospital at least 2 times a month for getting soapy acid in their eyes or getting ran over by a fork lift. evreyone is mean there and mostly speak spanish, and it is stay on your feet for 4.5 hours straight! im never working in a place so cruel and hazordous again!

this is terible. i work at an eggfarm, here in Denmark (europe). and i have to say that this would never go here, we have 32,000 hens, there are 4 houses. 8000 hens in each house. but all of the houses are 100 meters.(300 feet) and 1 hence can walk up to several kilometers. (miles). if they want to.. but this is terrible.

I did a study on how our animal food is raised and brought to market. To this day, my family and I only use organic cage-free eggs, and organic milk. Meats are too expensive, so what can I do? Go vegan!!
