Ethel Smith was probably more emotionally in tune with her Hammond as early as the 1940's. If you listen to her albums it's amazing the registrations ( draw bar settings, incidentally any organ's tabs switches etc. ) that she could pull up to match the other accompaniment instruments. Of course something these guys didn't discuss was the reverse colored keys on the far left of the two keyboards. These are actually called presets & trigger draw bar settings from the factory, you CAN personalize.
