  • i have a question how many minutes a day do i do this

  • i like the little random puppy walking around in back

  • Interesting... Watch my video and notice I never train with treats

  • @TheApachebulldog Why is that?

  • I wish these "professional trainer" people would actually find a dog who doesn't already sit. The truth is if your dogs doesn't know sit yet he probably hasn't had any previous training and would not be acting so calm and politely. An untrained dog will most likely jump on you licking and nipping at your hand if you held a treat in front of him like that.

  • this doesnt work at all for my dog, when i hold the treat above her she will just move her body back wards and try to get it rather than sitting her butt down

  • @cupcakewhorexo Heres a technique; Put the dog on the leash. Wait for her to sit down naturally. When she does say "SIT" and give her a treat. Do repeatedly. 10-30 times. Next say "SIT' (only once) when she responds correctly give treat and repeat until she does it immediately every time.

Practice the sit command daily for about two weeks. If she become disinterested in the treats you can use her favorite toy, or practice before her feeding time.

  • i realy can see causr of the writing on your screen,,,, :(

  • my chihuaha iscompletely mental, it takes the command as a bad thing and it just goes to her bed, but see sits when i feed her and she doesntsit when the food is at her nose leaned back( 3 year old dog) if you think shes mental, just vote thumbs up

  • when i puch on my dogs but he wont budge, i think he is slow

  • tried this with my dog, it literally stands on two feet and has its head back for about 5 seconds

  • @daggerz101 like 20 seconds for me

  • my lab must be completely retarded, she doesn't sit, lay down, and when i try to play fetch she doesn't even look at the toy :(

  • @TTR125Rider1995

    mine 2 :D

  • @TTR125Rider1995 just work with it miine just passed away but was a great dog when trained

  • @TTR125Rider1995 Haha.

  • @TTR125Rider1995 I have a hard time believing your dog is retarded. When a dog, especially a lab, is having a hard time learning what you want, the vast majority of the problem is the trainer, not the dog. Nothing against you personally, I'm just saying that it's very common and that there is hope. Don't give up and do some research on good techniques. Don't forget, many dogs learn differently.

  • @TTR125Rider1995 She is not retarded, just lazy.

  • I know this works but I just rescued a 3 or 4 year old female german shephard and she's not taking to it very well. I'm sure she'll get it. If my retarded lab can do it she sure as hell should be able to.

  • ssamee here my dogg jumps too

  • lol the other dog comes in lol he wants to be the star of the show

  • i kmnow hillarious when the white one just strolls past in the background LOL

  • hahaha this is a joke the dog sits befor he even says anything......

  • would've been nice to see the tecnique on a dog that doesnt sit before you start the comand :p

  • my dog jumps for the treat . . . . instead of following it . . . .

  • Same

  • wow my dog is so lazy :@

  • my dog doesnt listen he just stares at the treat but dont move n sits after like 5 min of looking at it. how do i make it sit when i say sit

  • Dude, there's nothing to be proud of if your dog just sits before you even ask him too. You've just never used Random Reinforcement. whenever you begun your training, you always cued Bear sit, thats why he knows your gonna cue him sit again, thats why he sat in advance...

  • my dog listens to me and after i go for another treat for the next treat he doesnt listen.

  • these videos are very helpful I can now get my dogs to sit and roll over just takes some time to get it done

  • hahaha the little white thing in the back, lol

  • I have an itty-bitty chihuahua. When they're used to having to stand on two legs to get things taller than them, this doesn't work as well. Instead of sitting, she'd just stand so she could reach the treat.

  • 0:49, look at that white dog.

  • He is well-trained. BUt my dogs way too excited about the treat when I put the treat on his nose. He jumps around and doesn't listen to me. I need to train him to STAY, most importantly. But, like it says, everything is built upon SIT. So can I teach my little Pomeranian to SIT without a TREAT that excites him so?

  • hes well trained

  • i love how he ignores the other random dog that shows up lol

  • the other dog comes to him because he knows that this guy is a moron who gives away food for almost nothing ;)
