@mdsoccerluver I don't currently play, but I played for about 10 years... And it was male soccer. Never was grabbed in my junk, but if I was, I probably would have swung on someone too. Fact is, everything Lambert did was in response to dirty play by BYU. I take that back... some of those slide tackles were very hard challenges. But the two that people are going crazy over (the punch and the hair pull) were in response to dirty BYU play, whether that's "accepted" or "ways of distracting".

I blame the way the game was administered by the referees and the coaches that allowed the action to get personal & phisycal.

@mdsoccerluver I don't currently play, but I played for about 10 years... And it was male soccer. Never was grabbed in my junk, but if I was, I probably would have swung on someone too. Fact is, everything Lambert did was in response to dirty play by BYU. I take that back... some of those slide tackles were very hard challenges. But the two that people are going crazy over (the punch and the hair pull) were in response to dirty BYU play, whether that's "accepted" or "ways of distracting".

The first girl nudged Lambert with her elbow after Lambert walked purposely walked into her. The second girl did back into Lambert on purpose, but after all the other things Lambert did, so what. And she didn't pull Lambert's shorts until Lambert grabbed her hair. She didn't pull her hair right away, she grasped it for a few seconds and then pulled.
