This song is a comment on the end of Thatcher's 11 year reign in the UK. 'The end of an era, our future no clearer, my people no stronger, the blame I lay on her'. Hucknell echoing the sentiments of the majority of Northern England who despised Thatcher. I await her death and will celebrate loudly when it happens sooner rather than later.

Beacause for the the rest of the world she seems like a wise (but strict) leader, who managed to increase the strength of her country's economy. At the eaxpense of the common people and middle class (I think), of course, but there's always a price to pay...

I'd like to hear an "insider's" opinion, because I'm not british, and I've never been to GB at all.
