  • Put your hand in front of it!

  • thanks, now the earths rotation has changed.

  • But can it run on Bagels and LOX?

  • Yes, but will it be enough to take off Dolly Parton's makeup.

  • worlds biggest soldering torch

  • @bowers272 how does one solder with a open flame?

  • ...and we have lift off houston

  • That's what beans do to me..

  • 132,000 lb, that must be a joke, F-16 engine dont have that much impulse...

  • @XStarss It's not 132,000 lbs force, it's 4000 lbs force for 33 seconds which is an impulse of 132,000 lbs force seconds (4000*33=132,000)

  • Is that motor similar in operation to the German V2 rocket motor?

  • Let's put 4 on a aluminum and carbon-fiber drag car and see what happens! XD

  • i could feel the heat through my monitor

  • @blackjesusnation Yeah, me too LOL

  • @blackjesusnation you are probably kidding with that but 30 degree weather in florida and looking at this... i could feel the heat xD

  • @blackjesusnation how long have you had it on???

  • @blackjesusnation You should stop using it a recalled monitor.

  • Lol, he sounds like Dr. Evil from Austin Powers.

  • Tim Allen could mow his lawn in NANO SECONDS!

  • heres how much thrust i need for my ironman suit

  • And now, put your finger on that black tube.

  • try running you finger through that kids

  • focus that energy cone and put all that flame to good use, then replace with hydrogen instead of methanol and see what you can melt with it! :)

  • there goes one whole year of fuel for my bike!

  • I want to know what happened to the cross of metal on the exaust at the start!

  • @TheCameronD123 Its the starter, its designed to get blown out the ack after the tip of it inside the core of the motor does its job :)

  • @FlyHighRC386 And take out a building a few miles away! :P

  • In the picture it looks like an awesome real life sword of fire.

  • that aint shit ill put that on my skateboard

  • this just stopped the earths rotation

  • I WANT THAT STRAPPED TO MY CAR!!!!!

  • @FIREBLADESrule

    Your Kia would explode.

  • how much fuel used?

  • this is what happens when chuck norris lights his farts

  • What is it's LOX/methanol consumption rate for the burn on the video?

  • UGHH WOULD YOU SHUTUP ABOUT CHUCK NORRIS. HE'S JUST A NORMAL GUY

  • @jurassicparkboy yes, a normal guy who uses this to light his cigars (couldn't help myself, dude if you gonna be on youtube, you gotta accept the memes)

  • @kght222 well people over use them way to much, chuck norris is cool and all, but enough with the meme already, do something new XD

  • The end was fancy, video stopped too soon

  • i wanna put that on my bicycle

  • 9-ft flame= awesomesauce.

  • aww, it had just started to warm up.

  • That was just the pipe coming from Chuck Norris' toilet

  • That's the blowtorch from hell!

  • What is the purpose of the X shaped wood thing?

  • He meant what he said when he said "Ignit..."

  • how fast do you think i could go if i put this rocket on my ford fiesta?

  • damn that shit burns and burns and burns and burns

  • Mom! the marshmellows are done...

  • I WANT a pocket size one so i can light a ciggy is is possible but the question is can it microwave ? ? :P

  • dang the first blowtorch for use in tanks- for use with ages 3 plus-lol jk

  • chuck norris lighter

  • @EchterAlucard chuck norris farting

  • @EchterAlucard That was chuck's old lighter . His new one is called saturn V2. lol.

  • @EchterAlucard The Saturn V is the Chuck Norris Zippo Lighter. That's just his candle.

  • @EchterAlucard STEVE SEAGAL LIGHTER.

  • @EchterAlucard chuck Norris is a pussy

  • @Q2SEEDSMAN You are mad becuase your woman left for chuck norris LOL

  • @EchterAlucard chuck norris hand dryer

  • @EchterAlucard chuck norris doesn't need a lighter, he uses his breath

  • it doesnt fly :S

  • dblumer, you have to put it on a Wheel chair, or a go-kart, and then have a ramp in front of it and fly

  • Some guy walking by: "Hey what's that plastic tape saying 'Caution' doin' here?"

  • I could do with a new cigarette lighter

  • that warning tape makes it look like a big fire sorwd

  • 0:09 super epic

  • PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sounds so smooth good job to them

  • looks more like a rocket!

  • Cool! What are the propellant flow rates and the chamber pressure?

  • can i touch it... pleasssseeee

  • that is beautiful. thanks for sharing.

  • i want to put that on my bike

  • Nice! I'd like to get a satellite into LEO as an amateur. Someday, it might happen. I know that would take some 38MJ/kg, and so long as someone doesn't put a meter on it, I can keep the cost down...

  • i want one!

  • light a cigarette with it :D

  • pocket rocket ?

  • Will it go in a rocket any time soon?

  • How many gallons of fuel and oxidizer does that use for that duration?

  • What is this probellant engine ?

  • we need that on a trike

  • That's one way to do your sausages

  • Don' t breath this

  • 4000 lb of thrust like that...if anyone would have been standing behind this engine when it went off...you wouldn't find even ashes left.

  • Man, that would heat my shop up quick....LOL

    Awesome....

  • I am gona use it to cook hotdogs.

  • Looks like my ass after a bean burrito

  • @somecooldude777 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Now make a rocket with this in it! That would be spectacular.

  • Right. Thats going on my bike

  • What was the delivered specific impulse?

  • marshmellows!!!!!

  • ther, you just created another hole in the ozone.... bravo

  • Do you think I could borrow this man? I just need to light my blunt (:

  • put you marshmallow into that heat, itd get NIIICE and toasty

  • would it hurt if i touched it :s

  • Shit is bad ass. LOVE IT.

  • Comment removed

  • woow this shoud be a chuk norris fart gas...

  • Burger King should use that to gril their steak it will only take a second

  • Awesome grill

  • Who made this thing? If you stand it up, I'll gladly be the test pilot.

  • от чего этот двигатель? Он из карамели ?

  • ..ha! thats what i call a 'tornado-proof-cig-lighter' XD

  • Without reading the title, when i saw the tumbnail,it looked like a sword made of fire. o.O

  • I can do that when Sozins Comet comes around next year!

  • need fire?

  • oh daaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm man

  • i dare somebody to jump through the flame

  • @kowalityjesus

Try hotdogs on a stick instead.

  • The X shaped object is made of wood and holds the ignitor and is blown out as soon at the engine fires.

  • @dblumer

Can you buy those at Walmart?

  • Gotta love shock Diamonds.

Btw, what was the little X shaped object on the exhaust nozzle?

  • 'my marshmallow is a bit burnt'!

  • Isso é bom pra sapecar porco...

  • @yofootball127

But it would be so tempting!!!

  • i want to put that on a go kart

  • think the pigeons still in there?lol

  • That was one of the sweetest-sounding rockets I have ever heard. Have you flown it yet?

  • if he will put it on a model rocket it would never come back lol

  • I'm talking more along the lines of a microweight airplane designed to exceed mach 1...

  • Nicely done! This is one of the best amateur motors I have ever seen. I would love to see the thrust curve on this. Looks to be very flat and stable thrust at full pressure. The team should be proud of their accomplishment. I'm surprised that there has been few words to this effect before. This may look easy but it's very hard to do.

  • if u step in that?? dead meat

  • 132,000 lb-seconds. LOOOOOOOOL

  • burn baby burn... XD lovely

  • lol bugger nothing funny can be said .... but i want one :D

  • What is the total mass of this motor in a fully fueled configuration?

  • @oisiaa Its a liquid fueled engine that burns 17.5 lbs of propellant per second. The engine itself weights approximately 45 lbs. the propellants are LOX and methanol for this test but, it has also run on LOX/RP. As of date the engine has over 500 sec of run time.

  • it looks like Optimus Prime blade... )))

  • did you make this engine?

  • Aww look! I ruined the Crème Brulée!

  • hahaha bravo ;-)

  • sorry, have u got a light?

  • Super-Flamethrower!

  • id like to have that as my engine lol

  • pop..........................SSPKAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    AWESOME!

  • How do you force propellants into combustion chamber ?

  • Love that sound :)

  • aww shit... i just accidentally gave you a thumbs down! pretend it's a thumbs up!

  • Cool video, now strap it onto me!

  • WANT! No really, I totally do. Yes, yes, I've no practical need for this, but the coolness factor far outweighs any practicality factor. Then again, I'd also like a large turbofan engine that I could spool up and aim at my neighbor's house... just because it would be effing cool.

  • just dont stand behind it. or infront of it for that matter. in fact, we should just stay away...lol

  • What happens if you put you face into that flame?

  • Your face will be removed.

  • Try it!

  • i would like you to put your face in that flame

  • GOD DAMN!

  • Damn that thing didn't mess around! :D

  • well he definitely has a calculated thrust. But thats useless without an experimental measurement. I was just wondering what his mounting system was for the rocket, if he was using a load cell, they are only capable of measuring in one axis. thats where im interested.

  • how are you measuring thrust?

  • Piezo-electric load cell, as in a electronic weight scale, would be a guess

  • What would happen to that thing if it came off of the mounts its on? HOLY CRAP THAT WOULD BE BAD!

  • You think that's bad?

In the 60's, before ICBMs where perfected, there was a project to develop a nuclear powered ramjet. It was basically an unshielded nuclear reactor that was to fly at mach 3, just above the tree-tops, and be able to stay aloft for weeks and deliver nuclear warheads to multiple targets.

They built and tested the engine, worked great; produced 156 kN of thrust .

They weren't able to device a way to safely flight test the device or they probably would have.

  • I applaud you on your ingenuity that is very impressive. What do you use for injection for the methane and oxygen, obviously you have a pump or is it just pushed out by the expanding fuel gas and do you plan too use this for a vehicle.... rocket, rocket car. How do you keep the injection nozzle and the engine combustion camber from over heating.

  • The Lox and fuel tanks are charged with helium and nitrogen gas's . This engine is strictly for static testing at the moment.

as far as cooling it uses film cooling using either methanol or kerosene.

  • @crapthisisalongusern Yes... exactly.
