They both look amazing in this video. They're such great people and actors. It's kind of sad how the women keep saying that what they're "responding to" is not Matt's acting, though. He's trying to be all modest, talking about how he's working hard and just going about his life and career and they're dismissing it and keep bringing up his physical attractiveness and how it MAKES the show. That must annoy him so much. But he's so polite, so he doesn't show it.

Has it ever occured to anyone that Matt doesn't discuss his private life because he doesn't see the need to and is a reserved person? Not everybody likes to flaunt themselves in the media. Maybe he's just trying to protect his family from the media? Why must we know everything, why should he have to reveal everything about himself to strangers? It's funny how the public seem to think they have some kind of right to know everything about a celebrity's life. News flash: we don't. Give it a rest!

I am also sick and tired of media/celebrity types thinking that they have a 'God -given right' to skewer every piece of private and personal infomation about themselves (and others! ). Most of it is trivia and minutia anyhow, and it often becomes downright tacky and un-gentile to be discussing such personal matters so openly. One keeps things 'private' by simply not talking about certain things- period! It good to see a gentleman like Bomer !

I was so surprised at the season 2 ender. It will be great to see the new season and see what happens between Peter and Neal. I think that it is so sad that they do not talk to Matt about his family and they spend all the time talking to Tim about his wife and kids. I wish Matt, his partner and their kids all the best.

I feel that Matt is a very generous actor, who gives Tim the spotlight when he can. I don't think he resents it--Matt is generally the person interviewed and featured, and he genuinely loves Tim and wants him promoted equally.

However, probably due to Middle America and the religious Right, or maybe just as a private person, Matt keeps his private life private. In some ways, sad, I agree. In others, I respect Matt and his choices.

@queerage Well I know lots of gay actors that do talk about their partners, but Matt chooses not to talk about it, and likewise lots of people respect his decision to not talk about his private life because Matt likes to keep it private. So therefore, lots of people and interviewers just don't ask about it.

@ashenwings Not really, I've seen them interview gay actors and talk about families and kids, but with Matt, he's the one who chooses not to talk about his private personal life and has in fact not comment on it many occasions in interviews. So this isn't about them not acknowledging Matt's partner and children, it's more about Matt doesn't talk openly about his private life so they don't ask him about it.

He has to stay in the closet for the sake of the show.He is afraid people won't see a gay man as a straight leading man... he most be feeling like he has the responsibility of this show and all the people that work on it on his back. So he has to be quite about it. But he should come out, because it will come out eventually, and he won't be able to control the message. Still a sad situation to be in.
